We differ a lot. There are a lot of good movies in the top 200, but these were the only ones I think were great movies. Avatar was the only movie in the top 10 that I think highly of.

Avatar--1
Lion King(animated)--37
Jurassic Park--42
Guardians of the Galaxy--104
Forest Gump--135
Pirates of the Caribbean curse of the black pearl--145

I almost added the cartoon aladin and kung ** panda. The marvel movies are alright, but outside of the special effects they are not very good. I don't think they will ever top how good guardians of the galaxy was.
What is your opinion of number 121, Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

Outside of special Effects, Avatar was a rehashed space version of Dances with Wolves....with worse writing. The only good things about it were the villain's performance and the special effects.
I liked the premise of the movie, and the effects were phenomenal, as well as the creatures. But the writing will need to be much more original now that the novelty has worn off.

haha, yea that is a great comparison, and clever

I think it is going to be some what of a reality in the next 20years, and it is interesting that the planet is called pandora, because we are currently opening pandoras box.

Implantible chips will allow you to connect to the world around you in a new way, augmented reality glasses soon, metaverse

DNA research is increasing-organ/body growing, chimeras

Mech suits

Currently working on downloading consciousness to machines and AI, holograms
What part do you see being a reality in 29 years?

It was alright. I find the mind control and mind binding theme that is in 2or3 of the movies interesting. There are lots of comparisons in actual life and history

They can use their connector on their hair in the movie, to connect with animals, plants, and other people around them. I think a form of that is happening right now, and at the rate technology is increasing there will be big advances. They put nuero link in monkies, and had them playing video games. How much it helped in that i don't know. Human trials should start this year. There will be a way for humans to connect to their environment and a possibility of an in body connection to the mind of animals or other people in the future. It would most likely be (human mind to computer- computer to other human/animal-and back to the computer) cycle. There are already implantable chips that connect with cars, computers, locks, etc

They have been 3d printing parts of the body for awhile, and are growing chimera organs in animals for human use. Growing a biological body is not out of the question in the next 20 years, it might be more mechanical than bilogical, (as the current outlook) and maybe being able to do a brain transplants. Robotic bodies and ai minds are getting pretty advanced.

If they collect enough data on people, they can create holograms that would be hard to distinguish a conversation with the actual person. Sometime in the future if someone were talking with the avatar of someone in something like the metaverse, you would have a hard time telling if it is the real person or an AI driven avatar

When the called the element from Pandora "Unobtanium" I about lost it.... it was such an out of place joke name to a movie that was trying to be serious that it was laughable.

Yeah, that was ridiculously cheesy. I still can't believe nobody said, "Whoa, what??? Hell no, are you an idiot???"

 I will make it worse.

Avatar hit theaters in 2009.

The Core preceded it by six years.

Skip to the 0:50 mark. ;)

I love James Cameron but his movies borrow from many sources.

So what do you think? Is the Captain America teaser trailer legit? There are a lot of scenes from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but I doubt they'd actually be in the movie, other than maybe quick flashbacks.

Without seeing it first? My first guess would be no. It would not surprise me if it is one of fan made trailers that I loathe. They look fairly legit borrowing scenes from other movies, television shows, etc., but are not from a film that is still in production or had wrapped production.
