How about the scene from Reservoir Dogs where Mr. Blonde cuts off the cops ear. That scene kills me, him dancin around the room.

Evil Dead was already remade...It was called Evil Dead 2.

Arrgh, you remake people need to stop. The ED series is one of the best trilogies ever. Just be happy that Sam is going to be making another one soon.

Evil Dead 2 was awesome. Sorry man, but that claymation effect stuff is dated BADDDDD! It was okay for back in the 80s, but it just aint getting it done in this day and age. A few of my nephews watched it recently and turned it off because they thought it was too fake looking and "dumb".

They are missing the point then. Part of the greatness of ED is the awesome B movie underlining. The claymation plays a part in that.

Ding Ding Ding and to add to that they knew the budget was lacking and also made the movies with comedy in mind which made it even better. If they tried to do it as a straight laced serious movie it would have never worked at as well.

Your point of view on what you like in a movie is simply different than mine. A lot of people watch scary movies because they like scary movies. I loved the first and second movies because they scared the crud out of me when I was a kid. I never cared about the artsy fartsy aspect of it at all. (I watched the third because it was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen). If they remake it and remake it right then I am heading to the theater. I will send you a VHS copy of the original.

The moment when Jean Louise is formally introduced to Boo Radley in To Kill A Mockingbird.

Great pick, vta.

I don't watch many horror movies, but these moments made the hair on the back of my neck stand up ... or jarred me a little.

-- In "Field of Dreams," when Ray drops Terrance Mann off at his apartment and is about to drive off, he makes a u-turn and his headlights are pointed right at Mann (played by James Earl Jones), and he is just standing there looking into the headlights of Ray Kinsella's VW van and he says, "Moonlight Graham!" Also, when Ray's daughter first announces that "there's a man on the baseball field," and they see the ghostly image of Shoeless Joe standing under the lights.

-- The moment in "Lonesome Dove" when Jake Spoon spurs his own horse in the hanging scene. The reaction of Gus and Call is extremely intense and well done. Robert Duvall said when they filmed that scene, that the first time they did it, he didn't react at all. But something clicked the second time. He said it actually shook him when he saw it and you can tell.

-- All of the execution scenes in "The Green Mile." Actually, there were a lot of scenes in that movie that were striking.
