What are you a lifelong bandwagoner? How does one come to root for a Boston team and the Cowboys......just wondering

Thanks man. Way to take a shot at someone for making a post like I did. Not that I have to defend myself but my Grandfather used to be an assistant coach for the Celtics so, naturally, I gravitated towards rooting for them. As for the Cowboys, I had met Danny White when I was young (7 or 8) and he immediately became that idol in a little kid's eyes. At the time, I could have cared less if either team had lost every game just as long as I saw my Grandpa and Danny White on TV.

Bless you for saying something. I was about 3 drinks away from commenting on that. I gravitated towards the Florida St. Seminoles because I have Seminole blood in me. I've never stepped foot in Florida but I'm still a fan.

Everyone has their reasons for being fans of whoever.

Mets-Marlins the game after Jose Fernandez was killed. It was sad.
Yankees game after Thurman Munson was killed. Reggie Jackson sobbing in the outfield
Mets-Braves when Piazza hit the game winning home run first game after 9/11 attacks

I was actually invited to go there yesterday, but I avoid casinos like the plague.
The wifey n I just take a certain amount of cash, and that's it. No ATM's, no credit cards. If it's gone, we done!!!!

Couldn't have said it any better myself, my friend. And since you 'blessed' me, I shall return the favor and ask that you stop by a slots machine, throw a dollar in and win yourself your retirement fund! (Interested to learn if my 'blessings' account for something and if I'm on that road to stardom. :lmao:)

Have a great Friday!

There's no reason to defend it lol. I live in Upstate NY and root for the Cowboys, NY Rangers, Atlanta Braves and Cuse bball. There are 5 million reasons why a fan might root for a particular team.

Good Idea. The house always wins in the end if you play the machines or table games..

The only place a casino doesn't have a mathematical advantage is with sports betting.

Myself? I just put $2 down on the favorite to "show" in a horse race in a race and sports book.

I might only win a couple of bucks but that is just used as a tip for the cocktail waitress bringing me free drinks all day.

Do that on every horse race an you got to drink for free, keep tipped the waitress so she keeps coming around and maybe even made a few few $$$.

Just kickin down some more Vegas knowledge.

Have a great Friday!

It's never the real Friday in Vegas. This was my Tuesday. lol
The real Friday means I get to deal with the weekend crowd that is drunk and angry after losing their money.

And I blessed you because I was going to say something not as delicate as you did after a night of drinking having read that.. I don't need another benching. :muttley:

My mom and dad told me I could skip school if the Cowboys won that game. I didn't even care about that. I just wanted t Cowboys to make it to the SB.
After that game was over, nothing but tears.

My parents weren't to happy either.

"Go to bed. You have school in the morning!"
