Wow, quite the precedent to set. There were some terrible calls that almost certainly affected the outcome of the game, but the game didn't end right after those calls.

It's unfortunate because the only thing to really make the Super Bowl not have an asterisk on it will be if the Patriots blow out the Rams. That'll show that neither team would've stood a chance against the Patriots. If the Rams lose a close game, people will always wonder if the Saints would've won. If the Rams win, people would wonder if they Saints also would've won.

we don't know how the Saints would've done against the Patriots. The Rams ran all over the Cowboys last week, yet couldn't do **** against NO

THAT WAS A BLATANT NO-CALL PI PAY OFF for the refs. Nothing accidental about it.

happens all the time. unless you can prove the ref deliberately refused to throw the flag or benefitted personally from the no call it's not going to amount to much.

The NFL strictly states their games are "Entertainment" they can do WHATEVER THEY WANT with them. There's a really good book out there called "The Fix is in" and it explains all of this and he's right. The NFL is just entertainment they reserve the right to call games however they want and setup whichever matches they want for ratings.

call that right and it would've given the Saints a first down and they could've milked the clock barely giving the Rams a few seconds left on the clock

Yes, and maybe they bobble the snap on the FG. Saints also had the ball first in over time and Brees chucked up a duck. It should have been PI on that play also, but Brees didn't have to chuck it up like that. Zeurlein also could have missed the 57 yard FG. What defines a game ending bad call?

Talk about Pandora’s Box.
This will eventually put sports betting out of business.
Bad calls have altered so many games and directly changed the outcomes for forever.
Totally agree the wrong two teams made it to the SB but this happens all the time, just more egregious some times over others. It’s made more noticeable lately because they keep adding more dumb rules that are impossible to consistently enforce. More rules = more opportunities for ref errrors.
