Why don't you guys go watch the interview at: www.Commanders.com
It is titled Sean Taylor:Friday, and is in the media box on the right-center of the screen.
You will see how far off the media slant is against Sean, pretty typical though. He doesn't come off as arrogant, antagonistic, or attacking in any way. This is first hand evidence of how a reporter can slant an editorial piece in the form of a personal vendetta. Amazing!
Personally, I thought that there wasn't anything wrong with the majority of his interview. Even his 'butchery' comment was reasonable, imo. It's these three comments which bothered me:
________________________
Reporter: "Is this your first chance in a while to just think about football and not about the other stuff?"
Taylor: "Well yeah of course. I mean, now this stuff has been a great cloud over my head. So now, you know, uh, I can see a little bit of light, you know.
Um, I have a couple of things that I have to do as far as speaking to schools and things like that, but that's not outside of my limits."

What does it matter whether it's, "in or outside of your
'limits'"? You're the person responsible for both your own actions and the 'distractions' from your j-o-b. He could have kept the 'talking to schools' bit to himself. That came across as arrogant to me.

Reporter: [Sorry, couldn't make out exactly what his entire question to Taylor was]
Taylor: "I mean, I have answered this question, already. I mean, it's great. I mean, football is what I love doing and, uh,
anything that's taking away from that I think wouldn't be right. And right now, I can focus on football and focus on my life."

So, basically, anything that a person intentionally does to himself or others would (knowingly) result in negative consequences within his livelihood. So, wouldn't it be logical to avoid doing things which you know will have a negative effect on your j-o-b?
Arrogance.

Reporter: "Are you concerned about what the NFL will might do for a game or two?"
Taylor: "The NFL's the NFL. They're not going to change for me. They're going to do... I mean, I don't know what the NFL's going to do.
I don't see what they should do."

"I don't see what they should do."
What 'they' should do is punish your *** for doing something which had a detrimental effect on the NFL's image.
Just like EVERY other NFL player, coach, etc., has to face up to.
If that results in a suspension, etc., take it like a man and learn from it. Don't act ignorant about the consequences of your own stupidity.
