I think he'll get top-10 QB money, whatever that ends up being. But on the bottom end of that. And I don't think it'll be all that contentious a negotiation, actually. The big question is whether or not they ought to extend him long-term. And, as I said before, I think they really want to if they can possibly justify it.
Agree because he fits the “look at us, aren’t we smart” posture.

Whether they should or not will be the debate to surpass the Romo ones. It is already picking up steam.

I don’t know yet but what I feel is they can put together a championship team if they focus on the team aspect of it. I do not see him as a Brees, Brady or Rodgers type but more like Russell Wilson who needed that D.

Idgit, the most ignored parts of the team concept in QBing are on behalf of Staubach and Aikman. Get Prescott supporting casts like they had and I do believe he can win it all. He can execute the game plan.

But will they become too dependent on him as they did Romo?

It's not possible to hurt the feelings of arrogant people because they just assume that you're wrong.........kinda reminds me of somebody else I can think of.

my heart really goes out to jones if people are so cruel to him about what worthless general manager he is.

Poor fella. Things might be easier if he didn't suck. He's in the wrong business.

Dallas Cowboys vice president Charlotte Jones Anderson said her father Jerry Jones is loyal to a fault. Criticism hurts him deeply but he always remains a resilient optimist, even behind closed doors.

I like Jerry. I'm sure anyone who was his friend would love Jerry.

The problem is he puts too little emphasis on coaching. Great coaches are rigid, structured, disciplined, and set in their ways (likely because they work), and he just can't deal with that.

I'm a fan of both guys, but Romo got what he deserved, in my opinion.

Dak will get it, too. I think he continues the solid play we've seen here recently the rest of the year, now. Just need to keep protecting him.
At first, I thought you meant Romo's injury.

I don't know Jerrah, but if this were true ... it means Jerry is a bit too sensitive .

Maybe a narcissist disorder ... idk .

And it hurts us a Cowboys fans that our team hasn't made an NFC Championship game or Superbowl appearance in over 20 years. :(

Forget championship games and super bowls. it hurts more that there is zero drive and absolutely no sense of urgency to even participate in the postseason.

Yeah, it sucks when you see your team failing to male the playoffs and then have to wait six months for the new season just to see them fail again or get knocked out of the first round. Missing the postseason this season would just be extending the last 20 years of failure under Jerry Jones.
