All the money in the world, he could hire some good coaches and rule the NFL.
Just chill and watch the money roll in.

(I'm simplifying I know it's not that easy to win...but just saying)

I don't get it.

It hurts you?

How do you think we feel, Jerry?

We buy crap merchandise, travel, miss events to watch 8-8?

At least you go back to your millions and millions of dollars Monday morning. Meanwhile, we get stuck with the same stank taste of this team since 1996

Dallas Cowboys vice president Charlotte Jones Anderson said her father Jerry Jones is loyal to a fault. Criticism hurts him deeply but he always remains a resilient optimist, even behind closed doors.

Jimmy probably made Jerry WANT to fire him. Whatever the case, I remember talk about Jimmy having an exit plan in place years before he left.
Absolutely, think he got his guys to disrespect their boss in public by accident. Johnson knew what Booger needed and wanted and no way he was giving it him.

Johnson didn’t look at any job but as a door to the next one and that’s all the DAL job was. I also think he got really tired of Booger’s neediness to be a “star”. That whole deal about him telling Johnson to look at him before a pick to send the message he was the man would be enough for me to leave and if not for his bud, Wannstedt, he might not have made it to the war room. Things were already heading south.

so he has Charlotte protecting him; well, he has a sissy as a head coach, so why not more girls taking care of his interests? (no offense to any female user in here - I would NEVER compare any of you to that wimp Garrett)

"It hurts him...."

Jimmy wasn't going to be here for the long term but I think he would have stayed a couple more years if Jerry would have left him alone.
But as the team became more successful, the needier Booger became.

Imagine Johnson staying and getting that 3rd ring. That team would have been considered the GOAT and how needy would Booger have been then? Johnson wouldn’t have even played that game to get paid, he would have asked for his release and landed the best coaching gig in football history with complete control and credit.

Add another cover on this crappy bed we call the Cowboys. The man has his daughter talking about how much criticism hurts him. Just as I think this entire family owned business couldn’t get worse, this crap proves me wrong.

Damn, I get really tired of continually selling myself on remaining a fan because this family would make it so easy to ignore history and just move on.

The part that bothers me,is his sticking with people too long on the roster or staff,or signing someone with troubles to begin with. He can still help people out, without them being on the team so it doesn’t effect the win loss margin. I see other teams be smart and trade a guy when it’s ideal and prudent to do so,but we’ll just either release,or ride out the contract and get nothing. That’s what irritates people so much...the overall effects these things have on wins vs losses. T.Williams was a classic example of this. Why did they resign him? Jerry “liked him”. I don’t give a hoot, every fiber of my being said “Don’t you do it”...and what happens? Little production, drunken scooter face plants, injuries and a suspension all the while hogging up a roster spot and salary cap space. Brilliant. It’s these type of decisions that separate the haves and have nots in the NFL,and keep us locked up in football franchise purgatory for what seems like eternity.

What do we believe Dak’s market value is to the rest of the league? That will drive the deal.

Not one GM or head scout had him higher than a 4th rounder which usually means back up.
How many have changed their opinion since then?

Dak’s agent is going to have to ascertain just what another team would be willing to pay him and would they have him as QB1?

This might be the single trickiest negotiation they’ve done so far. Make a mistake with the QB1 and that doesn’t go away as easily as WR.

The most intriguing part of this to me is that we only know what they say they think about him, we do not know what they really think. And how ironic? Here we are again with one of the most polarized players in the league.

I think he'll get top-10 QB money, whatever that ends up being. But on the bottom end of that. And I don't think it'll be all that contentious a negotiation, actually. The big question is whether or not they ought to extend him long-term. And, as I said before, I think they really want to if they can possibly justify it.

It's not like she just randomly blurted it out. She was asked a question. Was she supposed to lie?

Romo got sb mvp money winning 1 playoff game. So that wouldn't surprise me.

he's a narcissist. he's got a huge ego. of course he can't handle criticism.

he and his type are cut from the same fragile cloth. their money mostly insulates them, but when it doesn't, they hate it

Let's be honest, it doesn't take a genius to sell the NFL or an NFL team.

Most fans look at the match-ups in London & Mexico City and think they're mostly duds. But those stadiums get packed because people there want to see the NFL. It sells itself.

Dallas has barely sniffed the postseason over the last two decades, yet it continues to be among the, if not the most valuable sports organization in the world.

If On-field success was necessary to be successful, then Detroit, Cleveland, and Buffalo probably wouldn't have teams.

So this oh he doesn't like being criticized...oh brother. grow some thicker skin old man.

I'm a fan of both guys, but Romo got what he deserved, in my opinion.

Dak will get it, too. I think he continues the solid play we've seen here recently the rest of the year, now. Just need to keep protecting him.

He doesn’t care how we feel and that 3rd sentence is all on the individual, he is not responsible for anything a fan does through their own volition.

I see this “great salesman” BS thrown around here and he is not a salesman, he’s pitchman dependent on having more than willing buyers. The man can fish without bait, just throw hooks in the water and the fish will gladly bite.
