The part that bothers me,is his sticking with people too long on the roster or staff,or signing someone with troubles to begin with. He can still help people out, without them being on the team so it doesn’t effect the win loss margin. I see other teams be smart and trade a guy when it’s ideal and prudent to do so,but we’ll just either release,or ride out the contract and get nothing. That’s what irritates people so much...the overall effects these things have on wins vs losses. T.Williams was a classic example of this. Why did they resign him? Jerry “liked him”. I don’t give a hoot, every fiber of my being said “Don’t you do it”...and what happens? Little production, drunken scooter face plants, injuries and a suspension all the while hogging up a roster spot and salary cap space. Brilliant. It’s these type of decisions that separate the haves and have nots in the NFL,and keep us locked up in football franchise purgatory for what seems like eternity.
