This guy was a scout for 8 years and then he was promoted to Specials Teams Coach...………..so they are putting him back in the scouting dept.

Ok, I am willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and say he must be a decent scout if he was one for 8 years.

But that begs the question, why did we promote somebody to a position that they were clearly not qualified for? No wonder our Special Teams were the worst in the league, we basically just picked some dude at random and told him the job was his. What is next, we going to the mail room and playing paper, rocks, scissors for who wants to be the LBs coach?

This is not how professional sports teams are run.

If you can’t put together 11 players out of your roster who can play, you are expected to go scout future players for this team...

Exactly. Teams should be able to sleep walk to 5-10 yards per punt return.

Our longest punt return of the season was 15 yards! 15! 131 total yards in 16 games

Or have an expiring contract and no FO connections (position coaches with expiring contracts told to look for work elsewhere)
