Wish Romo was in the lineup we'd be blowing out teams left and right...How many ints did Dak throw in college? To me he looks like he's gonna throw a pick anytime he passes the ball.

They used to schedule for ratings, I don't know if they do that anymore. But I remember some bad teams never got a chance to play on MNF back in the day.

Wait a minute ESPN didn't you have a good game experience this past week with the Commanders?

What is up with all these prime time games? I thought there was a rule a team can only play so many of them? These prime time games start to take a toll on a team.

I know, its crazy.............I don't ever remember a team playing almost every game in prime time the last month of the season.

Looks like fans still want to see my play by play so it will be on for the rest of the season. All my haters out there, love you guys. Hate what you have to say, but if you're Cowboys fans, you're my bros. About the ratings, how lucky are we to be in love with a team who is the #1 ratings team in the world? My Christmas wish is for the boys to win their 6th.
Let's go Santa!!!

I love your play by play Clove, some of us fans don't always get to watch the game live so we follow the game thread but a lot of times its just posters making comments about the plays and not really relaying what happened.

Anyways, I appreciate your time and effort .

Every time I turn on ESPN they are trashing the Boyz, saying they suck, haven't played anybody, got lucky, rookies are going to hit the wall, going to get exposed in the playoffs, Giants are our kryptonite and we cant beat them, and on and on and on......

This might be a game I mute the volume and listen to the radio show with Brad Sham during the game if the announcers start going off on Dallas.

I'm not sure that's true. Actually I have no idea what is going on with the MNF schedule. There are 17 games, so at least two teams have to go twice. I see the Eagles played twice. Not exactly forecasted to be a marquee team. I can't remember the last time we played two MNF games. I don't see any evidence they schedule for ratings. It looks like just about everyone gets a go.
It used to be that MNF only scheduled choice matchups and Cowboys were usually scheduled 2-3 times a season, but that was before Sunday Night Football and the switch of MNF to ESPN. ESPN being a cable station, even in this electronic era, is not as heavily watched as the major networks. It would probably be a little different if it was on ABC instead of ESPN.

SNF is now the choice primetime game, kinda like what MNF used to be back in the day, especially with the ability to flex big games/marquee teams.

If the networks had their way, every Cowboy game would be on prime time. Cowboys are ratings gold!

We have a lot of fans who love to watch us play of course and then there's a lot of people who love to watch us lose. I said this earlier, only 1 game wasn't televised here in Miami. The Browns game. I still watched it on NFL ticket but man, that's crazy. Most people don't want to admit the Cowboys are really America's team but the ratings and the popularity is there. No one can deny that. Especially now with Dak & Zeke.
Same way here in the Omaha TV market, Every game has been televised locally except the Browns game. It turns out I wasted a lot of money on 'DIRECTV NFL Sunday Ticket'

Can't the Cowboy just play the early game and get it over with? I hate staying up late...to see the fate!
Their next loss will be the worse one...I hope their not late...
You should just relax.
Try to enjoy these time to their max.
Dak and Zeke will carry the team on their backs.
ESPN rarely speak the facts.

MNF might not be around next time they renegotiate the TV contract.

Same here, guys, but I'm in SoCal. When the Rams moved out here we lost our Cowboys coverage (Los Angeles is Cowboys land on Fox, Raiders on CBS, when Rams moved out here, they took over the Fox time slot whenever they play), so I purchased Sunday Ticket (luckily at only $120). Since purchasing, I've watching two Boys games on it, since I waited till week three of the season to purchase it.

All good, tho. I enjoy the NFL and watching the other games. :)

MNF on ESPN has been dragging in rating this season, so this is a really big game for them. You know they're praying for one of those viral moments like Zeke's Kettle Leap.

Anyone that doesn't believe that the Cowboys aren't America's Team need to follow the money and the ratings.

And this is why Stephen A. Smith speaks incessantly about the Cowboys. And this is why Skip Bayless speaks of "My Cowboys". And this is why even in the off season, First Take and (now) Undisputed will find some way, some how to mention the Cowboys at least once a week - whether it's the draft, or what will happen to Tony Romo, or will Dak hit the second-year slump or whatever.

Cowboys fans tune in.

They had a rule of no more than 6 national games, and I think that included the Sunday afternoon games that were considered national.
However with the flex scheduling now, and the CBS / FOX contracts allowing each other to show AFC / NFC games all that can be bypassed, and a team gets more than the 6 games.

No matter what happens this season, I can guarantee the Cowboys will be on the max Monday night games next year. Dak and Zeke are ratings gold.

Actually, you would be right ten years ago but not anymore and can bet they won't be on more than once.

Monday Night Football is the red-headed step child of the NFL broadcast partners. They get the worst match-ups mostly because they pay less than the other networks for rights and their ratings show it. Sunday Night Football is the game of the week.

The NFL is not going to waste the Cowboys on MNF more than once and that one is because they have to save them for SNF, Thanksgiving and a Thursday Night.

Even FOX scratches and claws to keep the Division games away from Sunday Night or Thanksgiving.

SNF wanted the upcoming Cowboys vs. Eagles game, but the league nixed that one because the Cowboys had reached their limit of primetime games.
