I still have hopes for Green, next year will be a telling year. If he makes it healthy through the entire camp amd doesn't really compete for the starting gig he is in trouble. If healthy, his college tape tells me he is capable of being a good starter amd it will begin to show in 2016.
Never liked the Wilson pick, but he has some potential in nickel packages.
Russell probably finds a gig somewhere else as an end in a 3-4.

I really wish you were wrong. The Cowboys deserve credit for avoiding the land mines of the 1st round in recent years but after that they have really struggled to find players. That can't be simply chalked up to Jerry and Stephen making bad decisions. The scouting has to be flawed.
They arent even attempting to find players that fit the type of defense we run. The 2014 7th round is a great example of that. In a gap penetration line scheme they take an undersized 2 gap NT and a 3-4 defensive end. Then top it off by taking a pure box safety in what was supposed to be a cover 2 scheme. I know people say " Ya, but its the 7th round" But if your defensive system runs on system players like a cover 2, day 3 of the draft is where you can find players that fall because they only really fit that system. We arent even attempting to do that

Makes me wonder of Ciakowski was just a fall guy for the 2013 3-4 Draft Board Debacle

Without question. Jones and Gregory have potential with various degrees.

I feel pretty safe saying Chaz Green will never be a top notch starter. Just my opinion.

Damien Wilson and Ryan Russell look like players that will bounce around the league long enough to get the NFL pension.

That is where the great and all holy McClay needs to improve. Hit big on a late rounder, it makes a draft.

Wilson is a guy I thought could be a decent player but didn't play much

I don't think Gregory will be a bust. I still think he has a lot more potential than Lawrence, and I think the injury really slowed him down, not to mention not starting.

Lawrence also had 0 regular season sacks his rookie year due to injury, and it took him a while to put things together this year. If Gregory can put on weight and have the same type of offseason and Lawrence, I think he will do pretty well for us next year.

agreed Gregory was killin it before the injury
people amaze me

1. Collins
2. Jones
3. Irving
4. Gregory

Everyone else was fodder.

Now, if we can find ourselves a RT in this draft, our OL should be set for years to come.
