I understand, since Stephen says so it is a 100% guarantee Romo is good as new.

Just putting words in my mouth. All they said was that he will be ready for camp, we will find out if he is healed then. I guess that doesn't fit your agenda.

Stop the presses. NFL Live just reported out of all our losses last year, Tony had 17 TD's and 3 INT's. I just report the facts. You can make your own gravy.

Good stuff. We have much bigger fish to fry than worry about the QB play.

Outside of 2011 (which sorta surprises me that that year was better) Romo has always been about 1/3 on the long ball. I would have guessed 2007 would have been his best season at that. Oh well.

Just to compare:

Brees 27/72
Rivers 18/49
Rodgers 21/54 (2012)
Brady 15/65
P. Manning 32/67
E. Manning 17/58
Stafford 18/60

Or in other words, no QB makes his living throwing deep all the time. Someone using Romos (ill) perceived lack of the even attempting the long ball last season as a way to knock him is ridiculous.

And no, I am not comparing Romo to any of those QBs in abilities on the field, just the reality of QB play in the NFL.

What site did you pull that from? Can't recall seeing them anywhere in the past.

Where did I garauntee Romo would still have problems? I said I have my doubts based on experience. You are 100% correct that no one knows for sure which is exactly the point of my original post. Stephen Jones is coming out saying Romo will be ready for camp like his back surgery was nothing and so many posters in this thread are taking that as the gospel. The thing is no one knows how Romo will be and no one should start counting the chickens before they hatch.

You are 100% right. I have been through more spinal surgeries than you can count and every single one of them took something out of me. Romo may come back and play well, but he will lose something with each surgery. There is no such thing as being good as new after back surgery.

The only agenda that I see coming from him is that he is sharing some knowledge with the board that he obtained the hard way in an attempt to educate fellow posters. If by chance Romo's back problems continue, maybe the knowledge that he is sharing would explain why, so posters could understand what is going on.

Are you kidding? We have won one playoff game. The guy has had good stats but we haven't won jack. We've been talented some years not talented others and it certainly has not been solely on him but everything around this team has changed during his era but him and we don't win. To some around here and apparently the Jones family it's everyone but him that is the problem. I'm just looking forward to removing the last variable in this ongoing purgatory and seeing which direction the club takes. We had a opportunity this year to begin that process but somewhat understandably chose to weather the truly crippling portion of this horrid contract. If we struggle this year and the opportunity presents itself I don't think ownership will be able to put off acquiring someone who can move this club forward.
+1000. your post is right on the money. some cowboys fans still don't get it.

That's what NFL Live was pointing out. On ESPN nontheless (LOL). Although I was shocked by that stat but not surprised because Tony's emphasis last year was holding on to the ball. Let's hope it continues.

What's his winning percentage against teams with winning records? Stats are good , but they don't tell the whole story. If you look at Romo's passing stats, he looks good. The one stat that matters the most doesn't look so good , wins.

What are any teams record against teams with winning records when you own the 32nd ranked defense?

Splits off of ESPN. They have break downs of "Pass Thrown Behind Line of Scrimmage", "Pass Thrown 1-10 yds", "Pass Thrown 11-20 yds" etc. I just added the relevant parts up.

As I said before, I make no guarantee related to my math skills. Nor will I guarantee that I am correctly understanding what those splits actually mean. :)

Nah. I'm not falling into any category. I just refuse to give him a pass. He is just as culpable as the next person. I cannot tell you how many time I have been sitting there over the past few years talking my usual crap supporting the Boys with my usual group (which includes another Boys fan, a Jags fan, and a Steelers fan) only to blink and see Tony toss an untimely INT. He is a solid QB but we must demand more not just from him.. from everyone. I don't find him exempt in any way, shape, or form.

That feeling when you've enjoyed food, spirits, and friends only to find yourself in yet another situation where Jags & Steelers fan chuckles at the current event. ;-)

Lol! We have all been good friends for many many years. The Jags fan wears his hat religiously amidst a sea of fans that never includes another Jags fan. Gotta respect that. Going solo for the cause.
