Then get excited. Because I heard no one could cover him and specifically he made TNew look bad a few times.

I am excited.

I just want to know specifically, what uncoverable meant. Until you just mentioned it, I had no idea who was guarding him in those practices, hence my question of what uncoverable meant.

And I don't think there are many on this forum more excited about Stanback than me.

Get your facts straight. Stanback is much faster than this fictional 4.58 time you keep posting.

I remember reading that his 40 time was at his pro day and he wasn't fully healed from his foot injury. Can find anything on that in writing, but found a few other articles.

If the dude ran a 10.48 100 meters his 40 time is probably between 4.4 and 4.5.

After watching a few of his kickoff returns last year, there is no way the guy is a 4.6 guy.

But I read in ONE place he runs a 4.58.

And you're exactly right. This conversation has been had multiple times. He ran that time on a bad foot. With good wheels he's in the 4.3-4.45 area. What's certain as he is one of the fastest players on the team.

Did any of you see the replay of the Buffalo game? See TNew easily caught from behind by two guys. They don't come near him if he's got good wheels and shows you how much that injury affected his play last year.

The legend continues to grow.

The supposed 4.58 was NOT run with a bum foot. It was not run with a bad hammy, knee, or ingrown toenail.

He did NOT run a 40 PERIOD. Stanback said this last year after we drafted him.

I don't recall ever hearing any of our coaches say he was UNCOVERABLE.

All Wade said was, "he's getting harder to cover in practice."

Somehow, that evolved to, "uncoverable".

I like Stanback. I'm encouraged by what I've read. But he has a long way to go.

I think you need to look deeper.

you sir don't have a clue. crayton has 4.58 speed, and if you think crayton is as fast as stanback, please have your eyes and brain checked. stanback has TO type speed and might be a bit shiftier. stanback has more talent in one pinky than crayton has in his whole body.

I wish Hostile and JPM would join me in this thread.

It could be legendary.

4.58

discuss.

look the guy was running the 40 with a broken leg, torn knee ligaments against the wind (about 24.875 mph that day), on sand with roller skates on, not to mention the bad case of gas he had from eating pancho's mexican buffet for lunch.

Dude. If we traded for Boldin, we'd have the slowest WRs in the league. Boldin. Crayton. 4.58 Stanback. Hurd.

Bleh.

Even Reeves could cover that.

I suspect Isaiah Stanback is the Tony Romo of the receiving squad, sniffed at by those who later will decide they recognized his greatness all along.

We could dust Keyshawn off and slow it down more.

Idiots keeps posting he ran a 4.58 when he never did.

Stanback himself said he doesn't know where that time came from.

Do a little research .

Might as well include the whole quote.

"4.62 forty yard dash (though many claim he was a sub-4.4 guy before the injury)"

Like, don't mess with my innerwebs findings, dude.
