I thought he did a nice job last night. Obviously has good hands, runs crisp routes and completely "sells out" to make the catch. I would definately find a place for this guy. He plays like he is hungry and has some skill too.

five guys to keep on as WRs for this season:

Roy Williams
Patrick Crayton
Sam Hurd
Miles Austin
Ogletree

and if we keep a 6th, then Manuel Johnson. I do not think Stanback has what it takes. Too injury prone and just should of shone something by now.

Ogletree should definately stay on. No reason not to, who would take his place?

He looked good against scrubs. He can catch the ball and runs decent routes. He's quick but not that fast just fast enough. He'd be a good 4-6 WR depending on his STs play, PRs, and KRs if that's feasible.

He's not as talented as Stanback. There is only one WR on the team with near his talent and that's Austin. Now that doesn't mean he's NFL ready to start or contribute because there is a lot more to the game at WR than just talent. But you don't teach or coach that stuff. You either have it or not. And he has it in spades.

Doesn't matter how fancy or good you look doing something as long as you get 'er done. He still needs to prove that and stay healthy.

The Stanback sucks routine is old. Get a new gig.

How is Stanbach doing in those categories?

- Production ?
- Health ?

Didn't Stanback also play against those same scrubs last night? How did he do against them?

If he does it would mean 3 of our WRs are UDFAs and another one is a 7th round pick who converted positions. Pretty amazing when you think about it.

From what i've seen, Stanbach has been a beast on special teams. This final WR spot will be a tough call.

Stanback is on the practice squad unless another team picks him up.

Not really. Good WRs are actually very hard to find. So many are busts from the get go.

How can you stated Stanback has WR talent and has the stuff that can't be coached when we have seen all of maybe 6 or 7 outings of him in three years. He's has not completely one single off season training session not including this one so far. And for the reports coming out of this TC, he has been very inconsistent, dropping both sure short passes and deep routes. I'm not bashing the guys but, let take out the fan emotions for this guys and evaluate him for what it is. Do we really want to take another year on this guy and end up letting go a hidden gym that could be very productive for this team. Ogletree should be the fifth WR if he continues to prove himself. And like you stated, if you got it, you got it. And this guys has it. The work ethics, the dedication, and the attitude to get better.

I'm not arguing Stanback has arrived nor that he will stay healthy. I'm saying you pick your best talent that produces and give them opportunities. Olgetree got more chances and delivered. Last night. It's the body of work including camp and in Stanback's case his entire career. He looks unstoppable at times. He's faster than Olgetree. He's more athletic. He knows the offense better. Those aren't knocks on Olgetree either. He looks like he deserves some more opportunities to prove himself. Stanback needs more opportunities esp in games.

Do you really think Olgetree is going to get picked up by someone from the PS? At this point??

Definately!!!! Have you seen the Foreskins WR's? They're terrible!!! The Fins could use him too...

In one thread, we have "Stanbach," "Steinbach," and "Staback."

It's a good thing T.J. Houshmandzadeh isn't on this team.
