I'm confident the Cowboys took the time in practice to find out what they had in Henson.

As am I. I don't think anyone seriously believes that he got a "bum deal" in Dallas.

I didn't hear in the media that Henson was denied opportunities in training camp or practices. He was certainly given opportunities to find the field in games.

Agreed, although I was mightily miffed when he was yanked from the Thanksgiving game, I didn't feel that one half of football constituted a "fair" audition. What people forget is that he was only starting because Vinny was injured in Baltimore a few days before. Had Vinny been benched, or had the playoffs been a long shot that year, Henson more than likely would have been allowed to finish that game.

In the end Henson only has Henson to ask for why he isn't a starting QB. He and his agent chose the team. He chose baseball first. We can't be apologists or even come up with reasons for why he isn't what some expected.

Maybe it's as simple as he is not capable of playing QB at the NFL level.

He never stayed with one sport long enough to truly excel at it.

Man, I remember that. It seemed like the ball would be snapped and he would hesitate under center for a half second and then start his dropback. Drove me freaking bananas and he never got rid of that delay.

Yep, exactly. For some reason, they never fixed it. I also seem to remember a sidearm delivery, which didn't help.
