Only bbgun would feel the need to advertise people on his ignore list.

I think he does that to hurt and tease me....since mods can't put people on ignore.

I'd never "ignore" you. Unlike the stalkers, you have a sense of humor and you're not a jerk.

nah...I meant you do it to tease me...there have been many I would like to have on ignore, but as a mod I can not.

Some people never learn. How is this guy not banned forever for a ridiculous amount of personal attacks?

How is it serendipity when every other team in the league that is looking for a new coach will be competing for their services if they're available?

bbgun, I'm not going to stoop to your level. I don't want to waste my time with your filth.

Right. Love posts like these....."I wont stoop to your level" and then you take a cheap shot.....

The 49ers fans don't want their OC to leave and neither do the 49ers brass, which is why Jerry has to hire him as HC for 2007. If he does well (11-5 or above), then he has gained credibility again as a HC candidate. If he goes 8-8 or 9-7, then Jerry can switch him with the "bright young mind" waiting in the wings (Garrett) and pay Norv a ton to remain on as offensive coordinator.

So calling me a putz, ridiculing my sig, then re-referencing it in this thread by bringing up the person who was pictured in it and is irrelevant to the topic in the derogatory terms of "did she find out you were a fan and kill herself" is not "filth" according to you, but my referencing it as such is a "cheap shot"?

If you say so...

Between this forum where alot of us do not want to see Norv named HC

and this forum http://www.***NOT-ALLOWED***.com/forum/board.php?board=main

Where there are hundreds of posts praying he wont leave them

It is interesting how Norv takes the hits for his record at Washington and The Raiders. I would actually throw out the Raiders as I don't think Lombardi could win with that team, and how good were the Skins when he was there? It is a fine line, to me, whether someone is a good HC because of the players he has, or a bad HC because of the players he had. I'm not saying I want him hear, but how good would any HC done with the Skins and Raiders?

One thing is for sure there will be no consensus on the pick of HC. We have 1 guy around here who will not accept any coach who has not been the HC of Okalahoma. Others who want someone with no HC experience and others who will not accept a coach who does not have a winning record as a HC.

Well why would he take the Raiders job in the first place if it was such a no hoper?

Maybe cause the other 6 teams that year that signed a new HC before the Raiders werent knocking his door down? ;)

like everyone has said if he were coming here as the OC I would LOVE him here but no as HC he hasnt had any success and i dont see him being able to help our D (which is our biggest weakness) and being able to lead the team

I wonder what would happen if you asked these Niners fans if the Niners were going to make Norv HC. My guess is you'd get a completely different reaction. Norv is a good O-Coordinator, but a mediocre head coach. Hiring him would be a crony hire by Jerry and we'd be lucky to go 7-9 next season (although I'm convinced we would sweep the Skins, just because that's the way the rivalry goes).

I'm not nuts about Phillips, but he's a far more logical choice and I think he's a better D-Coordinator than Norv is an O-Coordinator.
