I saw the game. Saw Teddy Bridgewater throw two consecutive picks after leading the Vikings to a 14-0 lead. :banghead:

Yeah, I tuned in after that had already happened. That game was my upset special last week. I thought DET might overlook them, and that MIN team has actually hung in most games this season. And they play DET tough. It would have been a nice spiff.

I think that CHI team has packed it in. Don't have a ton of hope for them helping us out any.

Hey, all I know is that the only constant in the NFL is that each week, each team will change either for the better or worse especially this time of the year. This year our team has shown more moments of greatness (more than the last several years) and if we can capture those moments in the next few weeks and get on a roll into the playoffs anything can happen.
We're all (at least I am) petrified at what comes next due to DC past history. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop HOWEVER as Tony goes, this team will go and Tony looks simply maaaaavelous!!. Just pray that his Oline heals quickly and his back stays healthy!!

It's not always going to be ideal conditions anytime an NFL team is competing for a playoff run. There are many other teams facing the same injury problems that we are. It's up to each team to make the best of things despite the roadblocks that lie in their path. We'll either respond to the challenge or be defeated by it. Hope for the best.

That's what I'm thinking. I think Clausen starting means the Bears will have to manage the clock with Forte (whom I think the Bears have basically abandoned) and pick their spots with Clausen. And to add to the equation, this is a division game so anything can happen.

I think the Bears have a chance to beat the Lions.

A thought I had was that the Bears will pick up their game for Clausen because many of them don't care for Cutler (from what I've read) and would want to show him up. I'm probably reading way to much into it, but it's possible.

Look at it this way ..... even if we were to make Murray inactive, and play Randle in his place, we still should be able to score points. Moreover if Berny and Parnell play in place of Martin and Free, we should theoretically be ok because the Colts really aren't that dominant on the defensive side of the ball. They really aren't dominant on the defensive line, at all. Plus they have already clinched their division. Usually the more desperate team wins, and we need the win a lot more than they do. We should win this game either way.

Keep in mind that Randle, Berny and Parnell are all HEALTHY players which matters a lot this time of year.

It does help that we're not facing a great defensive team.

I'm not sure I can look at possibly losing the NFL's leading rusher in a positive light, though, because those guys don't grow on trees. Randle has been good in spurts, but we'll see how he and Dunbar handle the load if Murray can't go.

I am glad Dallas has a couple of backup linemen with starting experience, so the drop-off is not as steep as it could be.

This is a big game for Dallas, though, and it would be nice if we were in shape to play it with all our guns ablazin.' Hopefully what we've got, especially with Romo as close to healthy as he'll probably get this year, will be enough.

There seems to be a lot working against our team heading into this weekend's game.

1) Our NFL leading rusher has a broken hand that might cause him to miss a game we need to win against a 10-4 opponent. And on top of that, it's possible that two members of the offensive line that makes this team go will either be sidelined by their ankle injuries or not at full strength.

2) Two of the teams outside of the division we need to lose (Seattle, Detroit) are facing backup QBs with Chicago having benched Cutler and Arizona down to its third-stringer.

3) The foe we're fighting for the division not only faces an easier opponent than us, but the Eagles get to do it against a QB who seems to have lost the organization but is starting by default after Colt McCoy was injured last week.

Those are a lot of odds to overcome, but hopefully Dallas will be able to take care of business this week ... and there's always the possibility in the NFL of a team like Washington pulling off the improbable.

Actually, everything is lining up perfectly for the Cowboys. If they win their last 2 games they are NFC East champs and who knows what could happen from there. If they lose, then they have no excuses. They all know what's in front of them and what it will take to make the playoffs. It's all right there in front of them. Couldn't have asked for more at the beginning of the season.

No need to worry after all the Stars at Night are Big and Bright Deep in the Heart of Texas.

An argument could be made that Philly still has an easier road to the NFC Championship then we do, but its just an argument. We'll know more in a few days....

As Romo said...they've essentially been in 'playoff mode' the last 2 weeks. Had they lost either (Bears, Eagles), their season could've effectively been over.

If they get into the playoffs, things won't be easy. So it will serve them well to earn their way in, and that's what they have to do.

No one thought they would become only the 2nd team in 3 years to win in Seattle. Few thought they'd beat the Eagles in Philly after the Thanksgiving game. And certainly not many thought they'd be in this position when the prognosticators were prognosticating prior to the beginning of the season. At this point, if they don't make it to the playoffs...they need look no further than in the mirror.

The only stars we need to align rest on the helmets of the men lining up to play this weekend

Cowboys have what it takes to render your legitimate obstacles minor. The challenge is real but if the coach and players keep the same m mentality as in the Philly game, we will be ok. I see 34-27.... Boys.

I completely disagree.

Everything has lined up for us quite nicely, honestly.

Among many other things, the most important thing to me is that everyone STILL DOUBTS US. We've been able to fly under the radar the entire season and will continue to do so on into the playoffs.

That doubt will keep this team humble and focused.

Make your own destiny should be the team's philosophy. No way can anything else be relied on. They win out, they deserve to be there. Simple as that. They lose well..maybe they shouldn't have lost to the raggedy a55 Commanders at home...

Or Cards.. Gimme that game back with Romo playing.. Grrrrr..

No offense, but the stars all aligned the last three seasons with a winner take the division game each time....................we lost all three games.................stars aligning means jack, we lost because our players and coaches were not good enough.

If our players and coaches are good enough to beat Indy on Sunday, they will and it will have nothing to do with how the constellations are aligned in the midnight sky.
