I'm starting Romo over Aikman. I think he was more talented. Sure Aikman won Super Bowls but those teams were stacked. You put most any competent QB on those teams and they also win Super Bowls. Aikman threw over 20 TD's in a season only once when he had 23. Every other year of his career he was under that. Could he have done more if asked to? Probably, but they never needed to ask. They controlled the clock with the ground game and had an elite defense to keep teams from scoring. Those teams were stacked with HoFers. Romo played with a bunch of garbage for most of his career and had to deal with Jason Garrett at HC who wanted oh so badly to run a team like Johnson minus having the talent all over the field. You don't have to agree with me and I wouldn't really complain with starting Aikman over Romo. Now if you want to start Dak...you need help.

Start - Romo
Bench - Aikman
Cut - Dak
Romo was more talented than Aikman? Yet he went undrafted and Aikman was a first overall pick.

Romo also played with some very good teams. One played in the salary cap era and one didnt. I think you are missing that key element.

But on no planet was Romo more talented than Troy Aikman. Arm strength, leadership, every intangible you can think of, poise, accuracy, none of it, Aikman beats Romo talent wise in all of that. Get out of here with that nonsense man. Aikman also didnt head to Cabo for a week before a playoff game. Like I said. Leadership

Dak = Tony = Danny.....all are the same QB. Any one of them could have had that game against TB.
I heard it here may times...supposedly any of them could have won with the 90's SB teams as well, but Troy could not win with these teams Dak and Tony had....but I doubt they could have won those SB's....
I don't think Danny was as good. He was on some teams, especially early on after becoming a starter, that I believe were good enough to win a Super Bowl, but he was one of the primary reasons they failed. He had 16 interceptions in 18 playoff games vs. 15 TDs. By the time we figured out that White wasn't the answer, we no longer had the teams that were capable of winning with better QB play.

Danny was having the best season of his career, in what, 1985 or 86, when LT broke his arm. He was never the came after. As they ran out a string of 3rd rate QB's.
They looked to be one of the best teams in the NFL until hat point.

Aikman was a QB; Romo was a passer.

Aikman was perfectly matched to his OC and I do not think Romo or Prescott ever have been. Aikman also had a better D than either of the other two.

"No, Danny, no!"
Too bad that is what comes to mind for most Cowboys fans. If, ands, and buts...
He did take the Cowboys to the NFCCG three times.
Neither Romo nor Dak has that claim.

Should be 90% answers.

I honestly believe that Romo if he played for an actual organization he could have been a superbowl winner if not have one multiple superbowls. Did he make some bone headed plays...sure but he had the talent to what seemed like unwinnable games. His INT media bias is blown out of proportion too. Just got the short end of the stick with JG, and bar a year or two some of the worst defenses in football.

Dak is more so the product of the environment around him. Not a bad thing however if we win a superbowl he is a good bus driver for it. We'll I dunno those last two SF games were abysmal

its only one way this can go

i'll answer it this way...for opening day september 2023

Start Dak - hes healthy and he can go

Sit Romo - dude's body cant hold anymore hits one more and he could be done but if protected well he can still throw

Cut Aikman - Concussion history is a factor here and also age..i think hes past his physcial peak and hes past his body limit
Stole my answer

One option should be trade because if I had all 3 on my roster I would definitely try to convert one of them into a 1st round draft pick or 2.

I would start Aikman, and put Romo and Dak on the trade block and see what offers I could get. The best offer gets traded, the leftover gets benched.
