He didnt wear it against New England either....

Weird....

Good question. I would say it's because he's further away from the original injury and feels the risk of reinjury has lessened. Or else, he just didn't see the benefit, like the players in this article:

Good news is WE WILL

You think so? I wish I were more confident. This one's got that old-school Giants kick-us-when-we're-down-and-then-make-fun-of-us-publicly vibe. I don't think the Giants are a good team, exactly, but they're decent, and they're at home, and we're desperate. Don't like that combination.

We will be rested, healthy and starting cassell and CMike with a fully healthy defense

I like our chances

The bye is a big deal, yeah. I keep asking myself "would you rather have Romo/Dez/Dunbar or Hardy/McClain/Michael/Butler?" We really shot ourselves in the foot that first game, but it's hard to look at the roster and not think we've downgraded in the personnel department.

Of course, the Giants are missing at least Amukhamara on their side now, too....

Yeah, we are going to be in a struggle. Winning is vital but I also want to punch them in the mouth all game. It is important we out physical them, which I expect. I also want to see Eli running for his life. And for me, this is the key to the game.

My own key is cobbling together a competent offense. We didn't have that against New England and it helped to squander a quality performance from the defense.

I feel good about the defense's chances once again, but I need to see the offense show something.

It is, but that's the other thing. With the new offense, Eli gets rid of the ball awfully quick. He's hard to pressure. We did a good job on him and, especially on OBJ last time, and I do think we'll be able to move him off the spot. Especially if Gregory is back. It would really be nice if we could conduct some of those 15 play drives that take 8 minutes off the clock and end in touchdowns. Tough to remember what that looks like, though. If nothing else, Cassel should be able to give us a shot of converting after a false start penalty or a negative run, where Weeden never really could.

we are paying the price of taking it very easy during training camp. We were so soft people did not get ready for the season. With the INJURIES on the O line (despite someone bizarre claim that everyone is 100%) and they not playing as a unit no one should be surprised they are not as good as last year. NO ONE.

I know with the way the idiotic CBA is now written (and a lot of players now understand all the training restrictions are actually HURTING them now) they cannot be as tough as they used to be. But frankly we went Camp Cupcake again.

FACT: If you're so 'injured' that you can't play effectively, you don't play. And if a player can't smart enough yo know, it's the job of the trainers and coaches to know.

Really? Where did he say that? Where is the official word on that and it being an ongoing issue for him and the reason for his struggles?

Take your time, I'll wait for you to produce that "FACT".

do you really understand the difference between being able to play and yet not be close to 100%? I really wonder.

Yeah, and I also understand the difference between wanting to play and not being capable of playing too. And having depth, and options, and all sort of variables.

well in your fantasy world where Martin and Leary were 100% and thus there were no injury concerns really questions that.

I'd like to see the Cowboys have more faith in their pass rush getting their and adjust accordingly in the secondary by playing more press coverage and harassing opposing receivers right off the line. It looked to me like when the Patriots adjusted at halftime, and starting throwing the ball sooner, the Cowboys should have countered with press coverage, but I didn't see them do that.

I'm just hoping for a competent group, something we didn't have last Sunday.

Don't talk to anyone else about a 'fantasy world' when you're making up phantom injuries to cover for poor play. Take a look in the mirror.

None of the players involved are using injuries as an excuse, and the team isn't either. Some fans need to take note of that.

To be fair, Belichick has a way of making offenses look incompetent. I mentioned in another thread, when Cassel played him last year he lost 30-7 and threw 4 picks. Ouch.

I do think we'll press the Giants more effectively than we did the Pats. If for no other reason than they don't pick the DBs as much.

I hate having to say it but Eli looks good in this offense. They are dangerous.

QB play is the key IMO. Gotta have some drives and keep the defense off balance some. I think this will be a good game.

You do live in a fantasy world where everyone tells the whole truth all the time. You think a player is going to admit anything he does not have to? Or a team?
You seem to have this bizzare idea that Martin and Leary were 100%. As I mentioned since you are neither a doctor nor know them you cannot say diddly squat about their physical condition.
