The Cowboys are still 2-1. Even with a horrible half against the Falcons they still have won 2 games. Did anyone think they would have 28 points at halftime? No. I know Weeden had a horrible interception but he still played well enough to win the game. Even without all the guys that are missing, They still have a great shot at being 3-1 after Sunday. That's a very winnable game, With or without Brees. And Weeden can probably hit some big pass plays against Rob Ryan's defense. He's a terrible Coordinator. Williams needs to step up and make some plays. Get some plays for Escobar and I would love to see some more of McFadden. The O-Line needs to start playing like the great line that it is. I don't want Forte. He's a good player but there's a ton of wear on those tires. Some of our fans get ridiculous because of one game. I like their chances Sunday. It's on the road which the Cowboys are better on the road. The defense has got to step it up against the Saints and I think they will.

Lee probably required a significant number of stitches, and since it was to a part of the body that was going to continue to get irritated as long as he was wearing the helmet, they had to stitch him up.

It's also possible they ran him through the concussion protocol. Given what's been going on with Kuechly, it's not a bad idea.

And the issue in the second half was execution and talent, and not the coaching.

Yeah, he can't go swallowing his own blood if it reopens after the first hit.
That's not good.
And it looked like a significant split.

And let's not forget the hit earlier that put Tamme under concussion protocol and knocked him out of the game.
Lee's helmet wanted to land in the mezzanine, if not for the strap.

The split lip required 8 stitches, if I recall correctly. Additionally, there is probably some sort of rule that won't allow players on the field if they're bleeding profusely, which he was. Don't see how anyone can question Sean Lee's toughness. People can call him a lot of things, maybe, but "wuss" isn't one of them.

Absolutely.
I understood the second I saw him walking off the field that A: he would be back and B: it wouldn't be quick because you have to secure that lip from re-rupturing.

EDIT: I was relieved it was just that!

It is kind of silly that some are questioning Sean Lee's toughness.

I hate that he is injured all the time but he is a warrior.

You don't care what Dallas would have to give up has to give up for Jeffrey and Forte? Dude that's a horrible mindset to have. That's how the Cowboys have gotten in trouble many of times. Don't just trade valuable picks for guys who are gonna be rentals. With Hardy coming back I'm not even sure we have the cap to absorb either of those contracts.

Offense is reeling? Please. Against the Giants the only thing stopping them from dropping 40 against the Giants was turnovers. Against Atlanta they put up 28. That should be enough to win a home game. Defense needs to play better simple as that. Despite injuries guys were in position to make plays and simply didn't do it. Poor discipline and poor technique really doomed us against the Falcons.

Not everyone shares your common sense, "RunDMC".

Its extremely disappointing I agree.
i read somewhere that his lip was split completely thru.

i was upset too when he came out. i was upset when church left the game for the locker room too. this team has too many damn injuries. it's frustrating b/c we all know the window is closing and we all know this is a weak year in the nfc and we are legitimate super bowl contenders for once if we could just get healthy!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

I don't think any team can overcome the injuries we've had this year. Well, injuries plus suspensions.
i said we had to beat the falcons and saints to have a chance. now i'm trying to convince myself into thinking 3-1 is fine, but if we lose to the saints we're done.
