The QB who is going to represent the NFC is going to be either a 7th rounder or a 2nd rounder.

I agree, but could you imagine if we traded Dak to the Texans and got Stroud or Young?

Or even if they endured one more year of Dak, and waited until 2024 to trade Dak for a top-3 pick and get a QB prospect then?

There’d be so many unknowns but at this point, we KNOW what we have in Dak.
Been hearing on this board that Dak has a no trade clause. Not sure what he did to earn it.

Dak need to take a pay cut so we can pay some super humans to prop him up,

‪Dak hurts this team with his pay and he hurts it with his play. Something gota give.‬

I’m a numbers guys; I crunch numbers as a profession. So I calculated the average draft position of each Super Bowl QB, since 1990.

Not counting Tom Brady, of the Super Bowl QBs since 1990:

34 were drafted in the 1st round
&
The average draft position of a Super Bowl QB since 2000 is #27 overall.

I know we keep hoping that a 4th round QB can lead us to the Promised Land, but the numbers are not in our favor. Not by a long shot.

We need to rid ourselves of Dak and sell out to get a premium QB in the first round. We are stuck with the Jones’ at the top, so I believe landing (hopefully) a top-end QB high in the draft would be our only realistic path to potentially making another Super Bowl.

This honestly is not meant to be an anti-Dak post. I just don’t think he’s capable of being consistent enough to get the job done and I’m trying to dream up a way that the Cowboys could win again before I croak.
Hurts was a 2nd and Purdy a 7th. Debunked.

Maybe we should trade for Purdy?

Stats also show that a lot of first round QBs are busts. Best of luck to us relying on the Jones boys to strike gold at the position.

The last first round QB they tried to get was Paxton Lynch. Jerry even wanted to take Manziel before Stephen talked him out of it.

NOW you’re making some sense, bud

That’s a joke btw. Dak is better than Purdy. Now ask me if I’d trade Dak for Carr…
Ok lets take that a step further. Dak is also better than Garrappollo. So why do the Niners keep beating us if we have the much better QB?

Cmon buddy, do you really want Jerry Jones at the center of another QB search? Last time he tried that we wound up with Quincy Carter.

Jerry offered dak 160 MILLION DOLLARS.

I dont think he wants a 1st rd QB

Jerry is an idiot. He let the media dictate how much money he gave dak. When dak held out... the media was up in arms calling Jerry jones out. He let it get to him.

That same media are not the biggest critics of dak.

Jerry jones got played, instead of making sound football decisions. He let the media control the narrative of his contract talks. Same thing he did with zeke.

Will you be up a while? That’d take a long time to list out.

I’ll start with the biggest reason, though: they have ownership that trusts their GM and coach to build the team.

The Cowboys obviously have the most meddlesome front office is all of sports. I can’t imagine some of the crap that McCarthy and other true football guys have to deal with behind the scenes.

The Cowboys just genuinely don’t know what it takes to win.

- meh .. it worked for another 4th rd QB ..and one of the shortest QBs to win a SB as well in Russell Wilson.

- Surround that 4th rounder with a stronger player personnel and coaches - and i'll take my chances there
