I do not remember that.

Roger is a class act who will focus on the positives when asked about just about anybody. He never "propped up" Quincy or anybody else. He simply stated his opinion that he thought Quincy could succeed if given the right guidance and weapons to work with because he had the physical tools.

Weird because everytime I listened to Danny on the national game broadcast, as recent as last year, he couldnt understand why Dak couldnt hit runners in stride on crossing patterns.

Well we're about to find out how smart Roger and Troy are. If Prescott doesn't show the ability to put this team on his arm once in a while and win games throwing the ball against good teams and lead this team to at least an NFC championship we can group Aikman and Staubach as dumber than the fans who said not to sign him. And there were other NFL players who said that too.
And you’ll be rooting for him to fail and thus the Cowboys to fail.

Roger also thought highly of Drew Henson.
I love The Dodger but NEVER trust his player evaluations. I think he does it though from good intentions. He’s obviously a Cowboys homer and wants every player on the team to succeed regardless of the evidence. Hey he would fit in on this board.
Former QBs who would fit in better on our board are Ron Jaworski and Joe Theisman.

I dont need to root for Dak to fail he can do that all on his own. Go Cowboys!!
Well, he hasn’t done so yet so not sure how you would come to that conclusion. He got a new huge contract for a reason.

Reminds me of Jordon shedding tears after his first NBA title ........... oh wait.......... the opponent Dak has defeated here is my team.

Staubach & Aikman are both very pro-Dak guys. And Dak grew up loving Aikman. Let's get behind Dak, he is one of us.

But he was also perfectly willing to play somewhere else and could care less how his greed will impact the team or his teammates. The only opponent Dak has defeated here is Jerry and the Dallas Cowboys.. His bar is now a super bowl.

Staubach is a homer and want Jerry to feel good about the new contract . But roger has pretty much praised evey QB dallas had , including drew Henson . So am not sure how credible his endorsement is .

troy has said great things about Dak , but I have heard him criticize Dak’s accuracy so many times during games .

Remember, ex-players rarely make good coaches or know personell - according to many here, and I am definitely not interested in Dak's family fan club. I'm a SHOW ME kind of person and I ain't see nuthin yet. We lost to the Jets!!??? :grin:That was definitely an accomplishment!! Don't think I've ever laughed so hard, once I finished throwing cans at the TV....oh right...I haven't got a TV.

Pretty much every coach in the NFL is an ex-player so I don't know how you arrive at this conclusion. As are most scouts. I have no doubt that Dak will continue to get better.. but I can't say the same about the rest of his team.

Unless Roger told me he did and said this exactly, I'll be skeptical.

In spite of Jerry McGuire, agents don't really have a rep as straight-shooting honest people.

The agent tells Dad and Dak, Dad tells press.

So if the defense continues to rank in the bottom 5 in the league you people will still want to claim Dak is the reason we don't win? Now if the defense is a top 10 defense and we fail to make and/or advance in the playoffs I will be right there with those who say Dak needs to be better. But again, over the last 21 starts he had he was leading the most prolific offense in the league.. and was what 7-14? to show for it? I could be wrong but I don't think there's a ranking above #1. The Cowboys obviously need to get better on defense. They don't need to be the '85 Bears but they need to get out of the cellar. If they don't do that, there is nothing Dak can do to save us. No QB can win games if the bar is you gotta score 30 every game or you have no chance. Offense has off days, they are inevitable.. The defense needs to carry us on those days. Get us some turnovers.. hell pitch a shutout if that's what it takes. If people want to pretend that everything is on Dak's shoulders then fine.. Yall go ahead.. Sane football fans know better.
The defense has shown up and Dak was MIA! This prolific offense only seems to appear against the crappy teams in the division or when down by 20 points on the 4th quarter. Dak wants to be paid like the elite QBs than he has to come up with some ball control offense and scoring when the defense struggles. There is no question the defense needs improvement but so does Dak. Top offenses produce in the NFL no matter the opponent unless they are playing the top defense. 2 games against the Saints for Dak produced a whopping total of 23 points. Even when Winston was with Tampa he put that up in one game. Dak has a lot more to prove than just beating up on bad teams.
