Nah. Healthy Tyron is still a better player
Agreed. Tyron is literally 1 season removed from making day 1 pro bowl roster, nfl top 100, and finishing 3rd place in the all-pro voting.

Obviously health is the issue but in this case he's the one actually healthy where Steele isn't so it's a wash point.
That's why jerry said it to drive his price down
Yeah I was shocked, Jerry actualy sticking it to an agent.

A normal Jerry reaction would have been to say "Steele is one of the best RT in football, Lane Johnsons salary will be the starting price point in contract negotiations."

Until he tells Jerry to f off and walks
The agents is no doubt talking him off that ledge right now. He’s gonna start 10 plus games and I think if he signs a long term deal he starts right tackle day 1.

Tyler LT, Terrance RT, Tyron Swing.

Simple as that, no need to complicate it
Jerry likes to see his money on the field. Tyron is definitely going to be starting somewhere on the OL to open the season barring injury.

Tyron. Probably trying same group they ended the year with.

That would mean LG is the pick in the first. Avila or Cyrus
The over/under on Tyron Smith’s games played this year should probably be 4. He’s missed 32 games in the last 3 seasons…If history tells us anything, Steele will definitely play a lot next year. JJs comments may be posturing in a contract year for Steele. Another example of why Jones boys need to be quiet.

Oh for sure they would. They spent 4.5 million…that’s nothing for a swing tackle as good as Steele. I don’t know what they will do I’m just saying if Jerry is saying he’s the swing tackle then it means he’s a back up.
Jerry said apart of the tandem of swing tackles.

Tyron >>> Steele
Not at right tackle he isn't. Maybe with more time to reacclimate to the position, but the line was better with Steele at RT than it was with Smith at RT. Of course, the point is probably moot as it likely won't take Tyron long to be hurt again.

My concern if the plan is to use Tyler at LT and Tyron at RT is that it leaves us questionable at LG, with Farniok and Edoma being our only real options.

Im not gonna sit here and lie and say I’ve seen him play but for a guy to be cut mid season and be on his 3rd team in less than a year? No one can convince me he’s good enough to have Steele as a swing tackle….
You know more about him than me. Didn't know he had been around like that. I'm with you though. Steele, Smith, and Smith on the field seems like a better option than just about anything out there right now. Hate the idea of going into the draft with glaring holes on both interior lines.
