Steelers waived P Drew Butler and CB Isaiah Green.

The Steelers will carry four cornerbacks and six safeties on their Week 1 53-man roster. They opted for ex-Patriot Zoltan Mesko over Butler at punter.

I wonder if their fans are losing their collective heads over this move like people are here?

I kinda like the Zoltan Mesko move. I was kinda hoping we would bring him in to compete with Chris Jones.

Their fans are too busy enjoying their 2 super bowls since 05.

I thought the Steelers had Brian Moorman at punter. Is he done?

Because that is exactly how it works.

You have Lakers fans that complain. Boston fans complaining about a rebuild. Giants fans weren't happy last year. Steelers fans are debating if Big Ben is elite or it's time to go fishing.

What have you done for me lately?

Honestly if we were 5 years removed from a championship and heading the wrong way people in here would be apoplectic.

They have the best d In the league for years. Ours is a huge question mark and as of right now we dont even know if it'll be better than the last 2 years.

Nobody is about the journey any longer. Nobody is about direction any longer (I know I'm going to be hit by the OL freaks on that).
It's about the total end result anymore. Nothing more, nothing less. Look at the damn teams that have never won a SB in their existence. How are they still fans of their team?
How are you a fan of your team? (Not you- Makto)
I read people having heart attacks on each and every play on game threads, then go 360 the very next good series. Series? Next down. then meltdown on the next non-positive down.
No wonder pharmaceutical companies are making a killing. What a joke we've become.

Steelers just traded for Felix Jones, they have enough problems of their own.

I can almost hear the violin in the background

Very valid point.

I'll tell you that one of my best memories of this franchise is the 7 and 9 season of 1990.

After seeing the franchise spiral under the final years of Tom Landry and then surviving the 1 and 15 season of Jerry and Jimmy, the 1990 season was rewarding beyond words.

To only enjoy a team when it wins Superbowls is to cheat yourself of some pretty good memories along the way.

17 years, 2 playoff wins, yet still #1 in value, merchandise, ratings.

I think Cowboys fans know damn well how to stick thru the "journey".

I hope it's pretty. I'm usually off-tune.
And... what's your point?

This is exactly what I'm talking about.
How's that violin tune, Visionary?
What an ironic name...

I respect you, Zordon.
I think you of all people know what I'm talking about.
Merchandise sales means nothing to real fandom.
I know way too many East-LA'er's who wear Cowboys gear and never even think about watching a game.
I've met hundreds of people from the mid-west that wear Cowboys Jerseys and haven't followed them since 93.

How many people wear NC gear simply because Michael Jordan went there and for no other reason?
A lot.
Argue with me if you will, it's the troof.

I remember that season vividly. I just knew the corner was turning. It was just as satisfying as the very next season- you know how that turned out...
