Time is running out for your boy Wade, Jerry said win the division or else and StayPuff choked like a dog to a 6-5 team.

If Wade blows the Chargers game, he might as well dust off the old resume.

So you want 6-6 Tomlin over 8-4 wade? I may not be a genius but I am pretty sure 8>6

I could stomach a 6-6 season if my team won 2 of the last 4 SuperBowls.

But I forgot, in Dallas all we care about is regular season wins;)

You are so FOS, if we had won 2 of the last 4 superbowls and were 6-6 you would be screaming how much we suck and Tomlin should be fired for changing the philosophy of the team

From ESPN...

"We can't stay status quo in terms of how we're approaching this and expect the pattern of behavior or outcome to change," Tomlin said. "That's unrealistic. That's hoping. This is not a hope business."

Losing three leads in the fourth quarter against the lowly Raiders (4-8) made Tomlin lose that, and a lot more.

Tomlin was as close to agitated as he gets in public on Monday, suggesting longevity and loyalty don't count for nearly as much when a team is losing like the Steelers are. Changes are coming.

"Nothing stays the same in this game," Tomlin said. "Players are ascending, players are descending. People catch up with schemes, schemes evolve. Playing and coaching, this thing is ever-changing."I'm not advocating large scale changes in a playoff stretch or change for the sake of change, but how's this for just three suggestions.

Starting Choice? Changing holders? Getting Butler and Ogletree more reps?

Just sayin'.

I am loving it!!! What kind of changes are coming Tomlin? What players are you benching, which are you promoting? What really tickles me, if Tomlin is not talking out of his ***, schemes & coaches will be ejected.

I have been waiting for Tomlin to install his 4-3 and get rid of LeBeau. I for one cannot wait for "hell" to be unleashed in Pittsburg! Come on down to Dallas Dick!!! The Cowboys still love that 3-4.

Aren't they the reigning champs with 6 Superbowls? Funny we were predicted to win it all in 2008. Yet some teams had other plans.....

Mike Tomlin could probably destroy Brandon Jacobs in a fight. Man I wish he was our coach. Cuz good ole chub chub isn't going to cut it in the near future.

What are u guys smoking today?! I cannot believe you all actually took the time to type this garbage! I hope you really don't believe this bs. BoysfaninBmore, you sound like you're 10 & Beast, you cannot honestly say that if we won the Bowl last season that you'd be satisfied with them coming back with a .500 ballclub on the verge of being eliminated from the postseason...

I'd think he's saying that he'd be MORE satisfied with that than two winning seasons, with 0 playoff wins. Not that he'd be happy about being a .500 ball club..And I agree with it. I'd way rather win a superbowl then go .500 the next season than make the playoffs twice and not win a playoff game. I'm smoking good ish btw.

As for replacing our holder.. did I miss something? Did he suddenly get the blame for all the missed kicks without me knowing about it? This is the first I've heard of him missholding a ball, has it happened more than once? He's always seemed pretty reliable to me.

*edit* Just read a thread regarding McBriars holding. Had no idea it had been an ongoing problem. Here I was thinking people were being dreadfully harsh for the mans first mistake =p

I'd be embarrassed if my team had to "win" super bowls the way they did.

D, I agree with you and I despise everything about that team. This goes back to the 70's Super Bowls. I do however respect Tomlin. In retrospect I think I made the post and noted his quotes because I just can't handle the status quo mentality we seem to have.

It's like the Titanic, since we don't see any water, the ship must not be sinking.

I'm starving for something or someone to shake the trees, to illicit a different response or behavior and I can't see anything or anyone doing it.

But you know how reactionary we can get. In fact, I expect us to win on Sunday and I think we give the Saints a great game.

Whatever. That's not what he said or meant, IMO. If anything, I'd be pissed if we won a ring then came back the following season with the same team and played .500 ball! With the way y'all are thinking I see why fans from other teams hate when we gloat about our past titles. Past success doesn't give an organization the right to stink it up the next season...titles don't carry over to the next year! If you suck, you suck!!

It's called being frustraited. Something ALOT of us know all too well at this time of the year. The Cowboys remind me in so many ways of the New York Mets. Both do exceptional in the first half of their seasons. Then the last few games they have to salvage their divison. Turn into mass sheer utter failure. They both break your hearts in more ways than one. I dont know what I would do if the Giants went back to another Superbowl and won again and trashed us over and over again.

Mrs. Cleo, is that you???

Seriously, what I meant was that it would be easier to accept a .500 season if we had won the SuperBowl last year. I think that is a fairly reaonable position. Nobody expects a ring every single year, but to go 13 years without even a single playoff win compared to winning 2 of the last 4 SBs is really no comparison.

I find that hard to believe, you would be buying the hats and T-shirts and celebrating just like their fans were.

A ring is a ring and if it took some home cooking for the Boyz to get ring #6, I wouldnt be complaining. But that is never going to happen because we get raped more than any other team in the league when it comes to officiating.

I dont even get mad anymore, in fact I am actually surprised when we make a big play and there is not a flag on the ground.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought it was about the plummeting of the Steelers like the Cowboys have for many Decembers. :D

The Steelers continuous slide couldn't happen to a better team. :)

Last week Tomlin said the Steelers were going to "unleash hell" on the NFL.

They proceeded to give up the lead three times in the 4th quarter to lose to the 3-4 Raiders, .. at home.

He blows a lot of smoke.

If Wade had said this, ESPN would be all over it.

And you know that if Dallas had lost 4 in a row, (2 to cellar dweller teams) had a WR calling out the toughness of the QB, another WR calling out the defense for losing the game, .. ESPN, FOX, CBS, NBC would be ALL OVER IT!

The Steeler get a pass.

The Steelers have had 7 or 8 arrests since 06. If that was Dallas ???????

They always get a pass.

I love to watch them lose.

It's disgusting isn't it? The national and local media continually rip the Cowboys to shreds while the local media protects the Steelers. I enjoy a Steelers loss much more than I enjoy a win over the Eagles.

I don't think I would go that far:p: , but I'm embarassingly close.

Every week as I watch the games, I live and die hoping the Cowboys will win and the Steelers will lose.

That embarasses me but I can't lie, .. that is how it goes for me every week.

:steelers:

Um.......I don't think those changes are working out so well in Pittsburgh.
