What we need is for the governor to get the hell out from in front of the camera and let grown adults decide whether they want to risk going to the game or not, and then let those same grown adults accept the consequences (whatever they may be) of their decisions
It's not that simple, as Governor you are responsible for the overall safety of your citizens, especially in hazardous weather conditions. So, there will be times when the government must step in and protect citizens from themselves.

Also, a lot of people paid a lot of money for those tickets, so if a blizzard prevents you and your family from going for the sake of the safety of your family...then because they didn't move the game, those fans who didn't want to take the risk will be out all that money.

Interesting to think that a governor and the NFL making the prudent decision to wait until the weather conditions are better and the roads are safer for travel is a sign of "weakness" by some.

Governor Hochul also announced that for safety reasons there will be no tackling and flag football will be played instead. NFL boss Goodell agreed saying “this is where the NFL is headed as you can see by all of our promotional activities. We expect a gender equal league by 2035”.
And snowblowers will have to be electric effective immediately

A travel ban is also being put in place beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday.

I guess you missed that part.

New York has bigger "safety" concerns affecting the entire state right now. Perhaps the gov might do well to try and fix those instead of grandstanding about a football game

And as to your second paragraph, they moved it to Monday afternoon. So what about the people who paid a lot of money for those tickets but have to work Monday, or perhaps were traveling from out of town for the game and don't have a refundable airline ticket? Do they matter at all? Or is this another instance where hard working people are treated as second class citizens in order to protect those who would prefer to live life in a terrified state of fear and trepidation, and insist that everyone else do the same.

Hate it! Was looking forward to a blizzard game. The state of NY is bailing Buffalo out. Pitts had a chance

Let them play in the elements. I say do not deny football weather loving fans from watching a football weather game.
