Heads up play by Polamalu...

...followed by ANOTHER back shoulder comeback to Chambers.

Who do you think his fav. receiver is? Geeze!

How is that a heads up play by Polamalu? HE had an EASY pick and he waved at the ball as if he were trying to spike a volleyball.

Why the hell this over-rated POS gets so much "love" is beyond me. He's the most over-rated defensive player in the NFL. Solid player, but NOTHING more then that.

Call him overrated all you like...I might not disagree.

But give him credit - he sniffed it out pretty quickly - just to get there was impressive. Geeze. I get the feeling that had he gotten the TD, you would have complained that he didn't get to the endzone quickly enough.:lmao2:

Not at all, if he'd made the EASY play I would of given him credit. And it wasn't difficult to get to that pass considering Culpepper pretty much lofted it out there.

He did his job by getting there. He sniffed it out very quickly and came off his zone to stop the completion.

It was NOT an easy pick, as he got there barely in time to get his hands out. You are more than welcome to call him overrated, but just because he didn't grab the pick doesn't mean it was a poor play.

The overrated Polamalu also just forced a fumble.

Anybody with a half an ounce of intelligence could see it was an easy pick.

And if he had any instincts whatsoever he would of seen that a reverse was coming on that last play.

But he has long flowy hair, so he's great.

Please - if it had been an 'easy' pick, even a solid player would have caught it, which you have already conceded him to be.

He isn't the best player in the league, or even the best safety in the league, but you don't accidently make the plays he makes.

Yeah - because Roy would have forced the fumble and instantaneously been there to pick it up.

Don't get me wrong - I don't think Polamalu is the best safety in the league at all. But I'm not going to underrate him and take away credit when due just because I think he might be overrated.

What plays are those? Trying to spike what should have been an easy pick (you have issues if you can't see how EASY that pick should have been).

I just get tired of the insane amount of man-love this guy gets. He is not better then Roy Williams. He's not in Williams' class. Period.

Polamalu gets beat for 31 yards by a 4th string WR and nobody mentions it. Roy gets beat by a ProBowl TE and his coverage "Sucks". It's pathetic.

I agree...it seems like Rack has overstated his case on Polamalu..the guy is more than just solid to be sure. He is not perfect..but does make plays.

Nobody in this thread is claiming he is the second coming of Lott or even as good as Roy. But I will continue to give him credit for sniffing out the play and getting there in time to swat the ball. I hope they'll show it again - he gets there just barely after the ball, and if it had been a second earlier, it would have been a TD.

Even WERE it an EASY pick, it wouldn't make him 'overrated' to drop it. I guess we should call Roy 'overrated' every time he drops an easy pick (and even you can't deny that happens from time to time).
