You’re in their shoes…..

You doing something to risk getting cut out of a $10 Billion inheritance because of a football team’s W-L record? I don’t think so

They care less about the Cowboys fans than Jerry does, and that’s saying something.

It's got nothing to do with the WL record. It is a legitimate concern on my end that he has dementia.

Do you think Jerry is going to live forever?
Do you?
Have you any inside info on how the children feel about how the inheritance will be distributed and managed?
Money and Families are sometimes like oil and water they simply don't mix well.
Like I said previously the smart play for Jerry and his Family is to sell now while they can still get TOP $.
The smart play for you is for them to sell now. They already have more money than they know what to do with. Keep your cash cow in the family and your lineage will be rich as long as the NFL is profitable. Also, the children have no say in how the inheritance will be divided. I'm certain Jones has an airtight iron clad will that would stand no chance of being challenged in court.

I am not a member of the Jones family so I have no play but after reading your post one can understand how Jerry is allowed to profit with zero results with fans of your mindset.
Hike Hike..................

Family members must step in and save Jerry

This advice is thirty years too late.

You. Do. Not. Rid. Yourself. Of. A. Two-Time. Defending. SUPER BOWL WINNING HEAD COACH. And especially not over little boy hurt feelings.

Stephen A. Smith is hopping onto an opportunity and capitalizing on Jerry Jones' stupidity. The idiot waited way too long in doing so. Must have been free helicopter rides that hid the obvious right in front of his own eyes.

Dementia is a concern, sure. I'd guess that a small team of geriatricians is familiar with Jerruh's chart, and it'd be a safe bet that they know time is not on his side.
Advancing cognitive disorder's obvious. I thought the family and Jerry's loved ones would've had an intervention before now. I thought wrong.

You just don't like them and want to be rid of them, that's your profit.

I buy no merchandise and watch the games through a bootleg service. They make no money off of me. Yeah, here we go..................

Jerry is the 600lb person eating himself to death. His kids are his enablers that keep bringing him twinkies, pizza, chicken, and burgers.

Jerry runs a football team, not the free world. Let his family deal with him in what they see fit. His actions don’t affect any of us in our everyday lives. I know, we are held hostage with his GM incompetence but there are far worse things in life.

Anyone know what the succession plan is? The NFL prefers a single dominant owner and unofficially recommends that an owner picks one heir to be the majority owner.

We've seen this happen with the Steelers/Rooneys when the team has passed down the generations. When Dan passed away, the majority ownership passed to Art Jr. It was nor shared among Arts siblings, even though all, like the Jones were heavily involved. Not only did Art Jr inherit, his siblings all had to stand down from their positions so as to renove any pretenders. Quite harsh, but thats how the league ensures stability.

I'm sure that the league has had the discussion with the Jones.

P.S. the NFL has a training program for the identified heirs in the family owned teams. The individual spends time working in NFL HQ to learn about how things work. Usually starts early - they do it long before the owner gets old and are in the program for a number of years. Have any of the Jones kids done this program?

Yeah, something is wrong with Jerry and this has nothing to do with the win/loss record this season.

The decisions Jerry has been making dating all the way back to the offseason were just not rational, many on this board pointed it out and many even believed that this was some sort of secret "soft reboot" because the decisions being made were in no way going to help the team win. The only logical conclusion would be that Jerry was trying to lose on purpose.

Now it appears that there was no secret plan, that Jerry was actually making decisions, irrational decisions, because he didnt know any better...................that is very worrisome.

When somebody is 82 years old and they can no longer tell the difference between rational and irrational decisions, along with forgetting basic information, you have to start thinking dementia. And I dont say this to be an alarmist or to make fun of Jerry or as a reaction to a losing season, I have had elderly family members that have had dementia and it is not something you would wish on your worst enemy.

I truly am concerned for Jerry, somethings go beyond just football.

Listening to some of the things he says, his convoluted answer to Jane Slaters question about “disrespect”….. dude is just insufferable now and obviously slipping mentally. He lived long enough to make himself the villain of cowboys fans.

If winning a SB is your ultimate goal, this is in no way, shape or form a quick turnaround. Minimum of 3 years to right the ship and that’s only after a legitimate GM is hired.
Yep, one of the worst impacts upon Jerry's thinking is that at 12-5 (x3) we're still close to competing. Add in the self belief that he's a footballing genius, stubborn nature and insistence that he has an input the on-field and we've a perfect storm.

Revolutions start from within, but there doesnt seem to be anyone strong enough to face up to Jerry. It's probably ending up with him passing, Stephen taking overall control.....AND THE WOLVES GATHER: MEDIA and FANBASE go full press (he hasnt got the faithful sycophantic retinue of friends in high places to support him).
