And every year Parsons gets beat up to the point where he is not as productive in December because he has been misused. It's not his fault but it is true. Parsons is practically ineffective by the time the regular season is completed. He has done nothing in the playoffs and those are the game that elite players are paid to win.
I know they are hinting on moving him to LB, but c'mon. They said that last season. Something will happen to DE depth, and you will see him on the line.
I'm not a hypocrite; I feel the same way about Prescott and Lamb.
How much longer can Parsons hold up while being blocked by a pair of 300 pounders on almost every other play? He will be in his 5th and 6th seasons with a paycheck around 35-40 million each year when the Cowboys spend those draft picks.
I don't want to do it. If I had my choice of two, I would have kept Parsons and Lamb and I like Dak. The other two are 5 years younger.
Oh I see ,
you're one of those guys you think you have a counterpoint,
except your counterpoint is some other team doesn't see what you just wrote,
they don't have that same feeling, they would not agree to point, they're willing to fork over two first round picks and we don't have to give up any picks we just have to sign him so the other teams are both going to fork over two first rounders or something along those lines a first rounder and a third rounder and a fifth rounder, and then pay him the money,
so those teams see the value but you don't because you're the professional in here your your hey he's not worth keeping you could feel the same way about those other two players but here's the problem once you sign clam you had to sign Prescott and now you really have to sign Parsons...
it was either all or nothing this was going to happen so get used to it it's not changing again I tell everyone in here this is not a surprise this was either going to happen they were either going to stand pat like Cincinnati did ,
which now they're having regrets because Jamar chase just having the one of the best years of the wide receiver ever and they didn't pay him early enough they're going to end up having to trade him but most likely signing him for ridiculous money but we had to sign CD lamb and we either were going to trade him or let him hold out and then eventually come to the team, which I didn't have any problem with, and then eventually just trading them all..
but once you signed one,
they are all coming so your complaints are falling on deaf ears you're not A GM you're not a professional you have nothing to do with professional sports from where I sit there trying to keep enough of this core team together in their minds that gives us a better chance at winning than blowing it all up and starting over because we've seen about a dozen or more teams around the NFL over the last few decades that keep trying they do what you think is the blueprint to get it done and they are not getting it done most of the NFL operates this way exactly this way there are 20 or more teams that are in the same position at least the Cowboys are a top six team in win percentages are still playing on primetime they've been in the playoffs 5 out of the last eight years there's a whole bunch of teams that can't even get close to that you know the Cleveland Browns you know how many times they've rebuilt and they haven't even won a division since 1989?
So again you being anti signing these guys is not gonna make it a reality the reality is this is the team so support the team and I'm telling you it's coming if you think his value to the rest of the NFL is that then why isn't it here you make 0 sense... I hear this a lot trade this guy trade that guy and then they tell us what the trade compensation is and I go look at it and go really they're worth that much then why aren't we keeping them?
