Or else what? Sans a new deal his choices are sit out and not be paid or play on his 5th year option for $21 million for just the 2025 season.
Technically you are right but they are not going let that type of distraction linger for an entire season.

Let's face it, 90% of this board would not have a problem giving Parsons his $$$ at any cost. We are all a little concerned about this team having roughly 130 mill for 3 players. Now, if this ridiculous front office wouldn't have given an avg. QB 60 mill, we all would be fine with the Parsons situation. This is exactly where all our thinking is with a QB who is going to come back less mobile than before!

And I "can't imagine" after being a fan for almost 50 years watching much more of this S....its just not remotely fun anymore....I have zero interest in the pre-season buildup, and even less than zero when the season starts....the doings on the morning of September 8th was the last straw. When Booger is gone, it'll even be worse with Chuckles and overrated Will McClay...pffffttttt...this organization is DEAD!!!

Carolina favored for the first time in 33 weeks. Micah doesn’t move the needle enough. No singular draft will either. The window closed. Time to move on.

Simple question........who has the most impact on your team ..........Hunter or Parsons?
Parsons can change their defense on day one.......
Parsons is the best player of the two that is why you are getting two ones for him. My point is the Joneses and this cap crap is getting on my nerves. Just trade your studs and rebuild. I don’t know why they extended Dak and CeeDee if the cap was so tight. Just start over. We could have got plenty of draft picks for all three.

Injury prone? He’s had one injury in 4 seasons in the NFL. An injury that happened when he was rolled up on. Anybody’s league gets hurt in the same situation.
Well, I think he is nicked ,tired and worn down by seasons end every year.
You just can't keep going up against linemen that outweigh you by so much.
He is too small to be a pass rusher
IMHO

And is there something about this story ,that one it's not new news that they're probably keeping Parsons, and two after Overshown's injury almost made it an absolute necessary thing to get him signed within reason..

we don't know what he's asking for but we're probably not going to have overseen the whole entire 2025 so we have to have those guys on this team we can't afford to let him go.... Because now going into this draft we can't be looking to replace 2 unique pressure guys one that's kind of a hybrid defensive end ones a hybrid linebacker slash whatever you wanna call them finding one of them would've been a priority but we can't be looking for two so now here we are.. That injury last week hit harder than people think it's not just losing a good guy and the fact that he might not even get back the next year but now it puts this position where we have to draft his replacement we needed one anyway but we can't let Parsons go 'cause what are we gonna replace him with another free agent another guy that's gonna cost almost as much you guys went to school together I mean are we gonna do pass rusher by committee Nope I'm thinking this is a opportunity for the fans to just stop saying we need to trade the guy and just get him signed as long as he's not demanding something ridiculous....

it's not our money so let them spend and let's keep the best players on our team....
The Jones don't care about within reason.

and? What's your point I mean does it hurt your bank account I'm trying to figure out why people are worried about what they're spending because where do you think we're gonna get another player like him in the draft oh wait a minute we have to replace overshoot as well so where do you think these players are coming from dial 1800 elite players at one point yes maybe Michael Parsons is tradable because he's asking for too much money but after last week losing overshown, can't afford not to keep him.. That's just too many holes to fill you must sign the guy and hope that he is not asking for ridiculous money want to be one of the top five highest paid pass rushers sure even the top paid one this is the same thing with lamb went through he was deserving of a top five contract and took #2 maybe we'll find that in Parsons..
Well we already had Dak, CD and Micah before they all got paid. So we are supposed to somehow be better after they get paid?

Stephen Jones 'can't imagine' seeing Micah Parsons play elsewhere as Cowboys enter crucial 2025 offseason
Published: Dec 15, 2024
Ian Rapoport
NFL Network Insider

The Cowboys stand at 5-8 heading into today's game against the Panthers, and in the words of executive Stephen Jones, they're just "trying to win a game." It has been that kind of season for Dallas, one destined to end in disappointment no matter how the final four games of the regular season go.

Which is why the team's brass will spend the offseason examining how they got there and what led them down this frustrating path. Of note: Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, vice president of player personnel Will McClay and other members of the team's brass will explore the effects that signing big-money, high-profile, top-of-position players has on their rest of their roster.

"To me, it would be irresponsible if every year you don't look at the full body of work and the big picture and how those guys fit into that big picture," Stephen Jones told NFL.com at the conclusion of NFL's December League Meeting in Las Colinas, Texas, on Wednesday, "and how we want to think about our team in terms of the big picture going forward."

Stephen, I can see Micah the Mouth playing in Cleveland for the Browns' 1st-2nd rounders in the draft and a 2nd rounder in 2026.
