Stephen 'can't imagine' seeing Parsons play elsewhere as Cowboys enter crucial 2025 offseason

Injuries cost him a lot of games after his contract. He never played a full season after signing his 2nd contract in 2013. As stated, I don't care about all the other stuff that bothers some fans. Just the injury risk.......
Thats a massive stretch. Sean Lee had major injury problems since college and was never healthy his whole career. Parsons hasnt gotten hurt once. Not even remotely comparable

Gotta love how they back themselves into a corner on negotiations.

Stephen Jones 'can't imagine' seeing Micah Parsons play elsewhere as Cowboys enter crucial 2025 offseason

The Cowboys stand at 5-8 heading into today's game against the Panthers, and in the words of executive Stephen Jones, they're just "trying to win a game." It has been that kind of season for Dallas, one destined to end in disappointment no matter how the final four games of the regular season go.

Which is why the team's brass will spend the offseason examining how they got there and what led them down this frustrating path. Of note: Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, vice president of player personnel Will McClay and other members of the team's brass will explore the effects that signing big-money, high-profile, top-of-position players has on their rest of their roster.

"To me, it would be irresponsible if every year you don't look at the full body of work and the big picture and how those guys fit into that big picture," Stephen Jones told NFL.com at the conclusion of NFL's December League Meeting in Las Colinas, Texas, on Wednesday, "and how we want to think about our team in terms of the big picture going forward."

Well, thanks for ruling out time travel, Stephen. You usually aren't this helpful.

Fair point my friend.
He has had nagging minor injuries towards the end of most seasons.
He just a gamer and tries to play through them, but it does affect his play.

I would like to see them be smarter with his usage.

No need to see him taking on OT’s in obvious run situations IMO.

Annually media negotiations at play here

Stephen will be so much worse than Jerry

The logic that it is better so sign players we won't miss that much if they get hurt rather than great players who will be missed greatly if they get hurt is just so Jonesy.

I have a better idea, stop paying players like Dak record setting contracts when they can never play up to the contract you gave them. The Jones boys just do not understand the concept of value.

Highest paid defensive player in the NFL in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .
yeah the jones boys say this stuff, like parsons and his agent wont hear it lol.
I see 50 mil as what it takes to sign him. jones boys will cave, they cant imagine otherwise lol

Of course he can't. The man has no ability to think outside the box or to change his failed methodology.
