Stephen Jones air quoting the 30-year championship drought and being dismissive of it

These idiots seem to take sadistic pleasure in insulting our intelligence. Of course, half us line up for them to do it again.......and again.
It's a deep-set Battered Woman Syndrome.

Some of us 50 years and more. What are we to do...start over just because a few beatings every now and then?

(FYI...no disrespect to BWS intended. A terrible thing but you get the idea.)

Stephen Jones is football ignorant.

Jerry Jones is football ignorant.

It will not surprise me Jerry Jones Jr. is very football ignorant.

I can only wonder if Charlotte Jones Anderson is football ignorant. I certainly hope not if something happens to her father and older brother in the future.

The family can own an NFL franchise just like other families have owned them. The Jones have no intelligent reason for managing a football team due to the utter lack of football intelligence.

As an Orioles fan, I thought I would be stuck with the stupid Angelos family for the rest of my life. But dreams came true when the old man died and the moron sons ended up selling.

So maybe there is some hope after all.

Read "No C" Walker's Twitter feed. He's super proud of himself for asking that hard-hitting question about how the offense will be different, and has an army of defenders on his side. He also told the people wanting tougher questions that they don't understand how these big time press conferences work.

I'd almost cut him some slack because he does work for the team, but he himself said he wasn't afraid to criticize them and can ask anything he wants.

Much like Stephen Jones, these people all think they're doing a great job. And if you disagree, you just don't understand.
They live in a bubble. Maybe he just can't think of any tough questions b/c the Jone cult is so smooth and competent.

I’m in on this. What would really help is if the former players, like Irvin for instance, got so mad they spear headed this movement.
They will when they recognize it is serious.

Yes, the Joneses are filthy rich and some downers will say they don't care. I say BS. There is a huge business that need to operate and needs people to do this operation and those people need $$$$. When demand starts to dry, they will feel it. The staff and players have contracts, Dak needs to be paid (LOL). They live a certain style of live that needs continuous flow of cash.

They might have other investments or business, but Dallas Cowboys is their cash cow than never dries.

As of today:
1- Stop buying merchandise
2- Don't call radio shows. If you do, say "SELL THE TEAM JERRY"
3- Don't attend the draft
4- Don't go to training camp
5- Don't go to games, even in bars. If you already have tickets and feel you must go, once the first ball snaps, stand up all and walk away.
6- Anywhere you can, in Dallas, show the sign "SELL THE TEAM JERRY", on cars and trucks, over your houses, in front of your shop.

And remember. It's not going to happen in months, it will take time. Jerry has money to withstand few weeks and even months of this. Be patient, keep the pressure, and keep it going. You can enjoy other NFL games.

I even find it more enjoyable to spend a season like this than watch a clown and his sons laughing at us.

I hope influencers online with large following lead this. The fans are ready and willing, all what they need to a lead. Can't think of better option than famous fans who people follow every day. Forget about most former players for now, they have a lot to lose and most of them are pro players, not genuine Dallas fans.

What planet does he live on where there isn’t a drought? 30 years is a drought.

Someone pointed out on one of the radio shows that both Hurts and Daniels were born, matured through college, got drafted into the NFL, and made the NCCFG in the span of time between Dallas’ last appearance and now.
It's a famine. It's desolate. It's worse.

Oh, so they don’t believe there’s a drought going on with this team! Gotcha

Nah, that can’t be real. Droughts are a climate thing, not a franchise/business thing silly billys!!! Cmon guys. The Jones’ are too smart, they know there’s no “drought” going on with this team, it’s been part of their plan to play possum in the NFC. They’ve been doing a great job at “possum” too!! They’re the best at it!!!

Their investment increased in value for 30yrs so they're going to air quote all they want. That's the only important factor.

That is why we are in the disaster we are in. I seriously hope when its time for Jerry to go that they sell the team.

The day will come when people will be talking about Dallas rodeo clowns having gone 34 years without making it to the SB

Hey, don't disparage rodeo clowns like that. They are very important in the rodeo business. I wish the Jones' would be more like rodeo clowns. Instead, they are just clowns, in general.

He appears not to even know what air quote means, and this is the guy making decisions at the highest level in the organization. Talk about pathetic
This is why people should never be impressed by college degrees or even Jerry being on the Arkansas team. When you are that high up in society the powers that be will hand everything to you including all wealth, fame, awards, and accomplishments, but it's all fake when you examine the person.

The single biggest lie we are sold all our lives is "meritocracy".

From a spending point of view, the new ownership seems to be picking up right where Angelos left off.

Coincidentally, I just re-watched Major League from the late 1980s. The team formerly known as the Cleveland Indians were a big sports joke because they had gone 34 years without a championship. The Cowboys are nearly there!

What’s most strange to me is despite all the failure, they get up there and act as if they have had all kinds of success, and that their method is a proven winner.

I honestly don’t think it’s a full sales routine…they fully believe they are doing a great job and that no one could possibly do better.

He is so bad. He will be worse than Jerry. The only slim level of hope is Stephen will not be grand fathered in like Jerry or will be able to talk his way out of messes. You always hear that Jerry won’t change, so what is the point. Stephen will not be given the same leeway. I expect he gets hit hard and will not be the lovable wacko Jerry is. Plus, when they struggle I guarantee there will be chirping from the other kids that doesn’t happen with Jerry. It will be like HBO show succession.

Well, again…..even if Stephen hired a GM in title, he still holds the checkbook, and is clearly the one who is against using free agency.

So I wouldn’t expect much of a change at all. There doesn’t appear to be any amount of failure that’ll make the need for change to sink in.
