Fair comments.
Exactly who did they whiff on that they seriously wanted?
If we dont draft Wentz/Goff, this offseason will be 2012 level bad
As much as I like the Thornton signing, now they are making me want to dislike it.
Now, he is going to be held to a standard as a pass rusher by our dumb fan base that listens to what the organization states.
There's a pretty big gap between overpaying for free agents and doing nothing. There were free agents that could have helped this team a lot that signed for less than $5M per year
If either end up being franchise level QBs, yes. If not then we just avoided drafting Geno Smith at #4.
they whiffed in FA pure and simple. An amazing draft can make up for it.
Doesn't necessarily mean a "wiff".
It means the weren't comfortable offering more.
A "wiff" is not trying at all.
it's amazing people still say things like this.
We do not whiff. We just decide we no longer want the player.
I swear to God, I would rather not hear from anyone named Jones, ever.
We all want to know, but honestly, I think sometimes, I don't want to know anymore.
Just fumble around like the mental deficients you are. Don't telegraph it.
Free agency is supposed to be used to decrease the level of "need" in the draft. Perhaps eliminate "need" at a position or two. Then you bring it on home with a solid draft. We haven't done jack dung in FA."We think we’ve got to improve our football team in a big way through the draft.”
Meaning make up for what they didn't do in FA.
Meaning draft for need and instant impact.
And you hit it on the head. If any of the 3 are franchise QBs and we don't take one it would be a disaster of epic proportions.
The likes of which we've never seen before.
It would be....the Perfect Jerry.
Didn't want to commit additional resources to the player.
