This is genius. Quite frankly, this is the perfect time to talk long term deal and possibly secure something while the media is all over Hardy for nothing. We could capitalize incredibly well from a financial standpoint. Making him feel wanted now while the media is pouncing to secure that buy in. Genius.

Something isn't making sense. Crawford and Dez just got deals. You will have Fred beard and Martin coming up, you can only hand out so many big deals.

I wouldn't worry about resigning both those guys right now. Fred Beard is signed through the 2016 season and Martin is signed through the 2017 season.

Looking at Over The Cap, the top 5 "dead money" guys are costing us $13.6 million against this year's cap:

Miles Austin ($5.1 mil)
Doug Free ($3.9 mil)
Kyle Orton ($2.3 mil)
Jasper Brinkley ($1.4 mil)
Henry Melton ($0.93 mil)

For reference the top dead money guy in 2016 right now is Jasper Brinkley at $0.6 mil. There is always the possibility of more dead money if/when we cut people but we should see some dead money relief against the cap next year which will help.

I'm betting that Hardy is betting on himself and won't sign any deal until the FA period. Of course, JJ could make him an offer he can't refuse before then, but that would be a long shot, IMO. I just don't think Hardy is giving JJ, or anyone else, a discount.

I almost wonder if the support the day after Hardy stirs the pot is kind of managements way of saying they are tired of the process as well.

I think they like his antics and the timing of this support is not a coincidence.

OMG...you might be onto something here. Those ear rings got little speakers in them. And when Jerry is not happy....He just let's Greg know when it's time to go off. I'm totally buying the Greg "Ray Donovan" Hardy act....

That's pretty harsh.

The dead money off the books, Carr and Free gone and Church being a UFA we could be $25mil under the cap. Say we move on from McClain and boom, we can be flexible with extending our big guys on the Oline.

Can't stand Hardy in the same way I disliked T.O. Great production, small segment of team on his side as a leader, in love with his own alter ego and the eventual "not worth the headache" exit within another year or two tops. No biggie for me though. Still love my team and like someone else said already is that I don't have to like everyone to love my team. Hope I am very wrong about him.
