I've behind Dak for several weeks now so I'm happy with what's happening right now. But you weren't around here much in 2014 when we're having that season and Romo was quarterback.

Several weeks? lol... You should have been behind him since preseason like me. You are still living in the past. Who cares about 2 years ago? This team is 8-1 and will be 9-1 next week. Also, we finally have a bonefied leader at QB who will certainly lead his team to a ton of playoff victories. Not only 2 in over a decade. Romo is a nice guy and I wish him well... but he is done here. Trade him to a desperate team and get something for him.

1. He stays healthy

Romo is a better QB, today, than Dak is....assuming he is who we remember (important caveat before the crazies post).

Anyone thinking Romo would be a drag on this team and somehow Dak is the one elevating the squad in a way Romo can't/hasn't/wouldn't.....well.....agree to disagree.

I feel the team is doing the safe thing in hanging in there with Dak. But his mistakes we are overcoming...are ones I don't think Romo would be making. 20-20 downfield accuracy problems. Goal line throwing inaccuracy issues.

Romo brings a superior passing game and would be handing the ball to Zeke jusy like Dak is doing.
It can be just as easily believed that Romo would be 8-1 or 9-0 right now.
That being said, I am in no way a Dak hater. I'll take the wins no matter who's bringing them.

At this point..

Tony should be in uniform and ready to backup.

Being in street clothes is pretty unrealistic.

Arguably? Romo is a better starter than most teams have. There is no doubt he would be the best backup in the league by a wide margin.

I meant the "arguably" as a, depends on who you was in the league. We all know that he is, my self included, and I for one can rest easy know that he can come in if need be and take care of business in a game.

Dude, I'm about as big of a Romo fan as there is, but he was complete garbage to mediocre last season in the four games he played.

Remember, Martin had the neck injury and Leary was out and the OL was a mess the first two games. He also brought us back in one of those games.

Our OL was a mess our first game this year too, with Free a total turn-style. McFadden got into his role a few games in last year, Dunbar got injured, and Zeke had to learn to be patient of the developing blocks. Tony's timing of his injuries has been the mis-fortune.

The other game against Carolina when he came back was awful, but the offense was totally dysfunctional and he was rushed back.

I'm not sure Linehan implemented much his first year as OC, but when Moore came in, Beasley became Beasley of this year. Last year, plenty of people were saying he was trash the first half of the year.

Linehan is doing new things. He has total control now.

Tony has never been consistent with Jason Garrett as OC. 2013 was the first year he started to be involved in game planning and Garrett didn't want that. That was forced from on high from Jerry.

He will be back and unleash in this 'new' offense.
