I'm not fully following you. We are drafting at #16 in the draft, so we are not necessarily looking for a top 10 pick. I agree for some odd reason the Cowboys are not high on on a top of the line safety like Dix or Pryor, so you could be right, they either get one of their dline guys they think will possibly be there at 16 or they trade back.

My thought was that the player the Cowboys draft in the 1st round will be one that they brought in for a visit or have talked to, unless the player is considered a top 10 pick, like Mo and Ware were. Since Pryor/Dix are not considered top 10 picks and the Cowboys have not been linked to them, I don't see the Cowboys drafting them anywhere in the 1st round. Just my .02 cents.

Ok, that makes sense. I can't disagree with you but they are smoking crack not to consider Dix or Pryor. We have avoided the safety position for way too long and it is certainly a position of need. Historically they do typically bring in players they are considering, so I would have to agree with you. Draft day can really change things up though. So many crazy offers flying around.

I agree. Or Jimmie Ward, more likely. I'd love to see S finally addressed, and it's a bonus if Wilcox or Johnson develop, too.

Safety is a huge hole, so I don't think it makes sense to discount those two, but that's the feel I get from things I read. I think draft day will be crazier than ever, the extra weeks have allowed teams to second guess themselves a little bit.

Agreed. I have high hopes for Wilcox. I like his aggressive style and he always seems to be flying around the ball. Not sure if he will turn into anything or not though. Just have high hopes for him.

I agree with you. When Stephen Jones was asked about it I got the feel from his response that it would have to be a tremendous safety to take one at 16 and that leads me to believe they are certainly not looking safety at all in the first round.. which is odd. Last year they wanted Kenny Vaccaro bad. I certainly think Dix and Pryor are as good if not better than Vaccaro.

If only we could get both jerry and son to get on the radio after a happy hour and say something racial. I think all our draft problems may be solved?

You may get Jerry Jones ranting about using Bill Parcells to get his stadium built, but he does not have within him what Donald Sterling does. So getting him, and probably Stephen too, drunk wouldn't accomplish that.

That is the comparison I keep waiting to read or hear about.

I'm starting to think it isn't going to matter anyway. They want a guy on the dline and that is probably where they go. If it is a player that is as good or better than Dix/Pryor.. I'm cool with it.
