Not much cap room left without mortgaging the future again. We might give a player for picks but,
I doubt we would want to take on a big name player unless the player would negotiate and allow for
pushing salary into the future.

Word is he wants Von Miller money. He hasn't broken 6 sacks in a season yet. Why would we want to trade a pick for that guy?

Have you seen him play, he does lots of things very well, sideline to side speed, can cover TE, he is a very solid player, not sure about the Von miller money maybe he does want that. Make no mistake he is a very good player sacks don't tell you everything

I think Willy Young would be the biggest name you might see. He does have a cap number but I dont think its huge. I think you are looking at a 5th value for him. McFadden could be delt as well

That should be all anyone asks for.

I never understood some on this board's mentality of trades bad, free agents bad, only build through draft. You should always be looking for ways to improve your roster. That doesn't mean you have to overpay to do it.
Patriots have made 21 trades involving veteran players since 2014

Nah, I'm not really familiar with the player. I got the idea he was a rusher, but it sounds like he's more of an OLB even in a scheme like ours? I still wouldn't be making a trade for a guy for half the season when there's no way we'll be able to pay what he wants.

Ummm..you do know Collins isn't an edge rusher right?

Sean Lee doeant get sacks either....mainly bc he doesn't rush the passer...

Kind of like J. Collins
