Don’t buy the BS Stephen is selling. Tyler Smith was never the immediate plan. They wanted him to be an OG to start and eventually slide to LT. They never intended to play him there as a rookie.
Not buying anybody’s opinion on anything.
As I stated....it’s my opinion
We shall see....

I'm telling you right now; this is a stupid move.

You've played him at guard all preseason.

Tyler Smith hasn't even spoken to the coaches about playing left tackle.

I think they're blowing smoke so they don't have to overpay for whoever they end up coveting.

This man just inspires so much confidence. Wow, we are so blessed.

Huge mistake!

Tyler Smith hasn't practiced or played at Left Tackle since rookie mini camp back in May. Tyler has strictly been at Left Guard since. Being 2 weeks away (with no more preseason games left to play ... or any more practice scrimmages) from the regular season to start while not giving Tyler any meaningful reps at Left Tackle is very dangerous and super risky. You are setting him up for failure by moving him over cold turkey like that at the last minute.

This is what Michael Irvin said during the broadcast. That it would be stupid to throw him at LT now after playing him at guard all preseason. Dumb and dumber are going to learn the hard way.

See what?

They never intended for him to play LT this year. Any claims by the Jones’ to the contrary is BS.

He’s only a consideration now because they find themselves in a deep hole caused by their own shortsightedness.

No really?

I thought they would just cut Tyron and let him start LT.

Thanks for clarifying. lol

I would be more interested on hearing what the actual head coach thinks about it.

We shall see how it works out... Yep ideally he works in at guard and slides over but plans change
I’m not defending this management for its lack of vision. Anybody can see that. It’s ridiculous. But it is what it is. No use whining about it.
I think the kid can handle more than many give him credit for...that’s all. Maybe I’m totally wrong....we shall see.

Exactly!!!

Michael Irvin knows since he played and was one of the best ever to play the game. He understands what practice during training camp and preseason games mean and does to a player.
