This man just inspires so much confidence. Wow, we are so blessed.

Based on McC's post-game comments, one gets the impression that there's some disagreement on what direction to take. How strong? Probably not strong enough to uproot Stephen from his position, and that's likely all that matters.

I think we're all overlooking an important detail. If Tyler just stands there, he won't get flagged for holding.

I'm ok with letting the 1st round pick play LT. I'm just concerned that as he learns the ropes, the LG next to him is a weak link and the C is as well. Plus, who knows if Steele progresses at RT?

It can get ugly quick. The early schedule isn't kind.

Dak will either get hurt because Tyler isnt ready, or best case, the team will sputter and be below .500 after 8 games. The Joneses are ignorant buffoons for not understanding just how vital it is having a decent LT to protect your franchise QB'S backside and running the ball. Tyler needs 1 to 2 years yet. One must ask, are they setting Mike M. ^ to fail? I just cant but that they would be sitting on their hands like this if Sean payton was the HC. They seem 2 be bank rolling for 2023.

Having a decent LT is worth 2-3 wins.Which is huge in the NFL. Its the difference in making a run or not.

if^ this is what u want, then u better be fine with missing the post season. Dak will miss games as well.

I'm also a proponent of them bringing in a vet like Fisher. He won't be ready to play right away since he has done zip in the offseason. But, if he were to come in they can move Tyler Smith to LG.

No way they can go with Ball or the other rookie Tackle (can't spell his name) as the backup plan or starting plan.

exactly. Jerry and Junya are being willfully delusional. They are busy proving their football genius.

Yes.

You didn't give me mich to work with stating the obvious lol

As with most things, the point sailed over your head. They never intended for him to even be the swing OT. It’s not about replacing Tyron. Like if Steele went down for a game, they wouldn’t throw him out there. If Tyron Smith had the flu for a game, they wouldn’t have put him out there at LT.

They are completely desperate now due to their own screw up. Trying to sell the potential move to LT now as part of the plan is silly. They have no real options because they mismanaged the position this off-season. Ball is a mess. Waletzko had a bum shoulder. They are being forced to do something they don’t really want to do because of their own failures.

and if we trade 4 Walker Little, I wouldn't be excited either. Jville doesn't want him, why would he be better here?

I’m not sure why all the speculation after Tyron went down. Tyler has always been the plan. Kid has monster talent
I think at end of season people on here gonna be slobbering all over the guy saying he’s a future HOFer at LT
Jmo

If you’re not ready, you’re just not ready. It’s an extremely difficult transition at LT and throwing a player to the wolves could be detrimental. Gambling more than just your season. I hope it works out like you say but the odds are against it considering the overall unit.

Stephen can say what he wants, but it seems to me that the main reason he's adamant upon starting Tyler Smith at LT is because he's really concerned with saving the team's 20 million cap dollars to sign Parsons and Diggs to big contracts in 2023. To be totally honest, I can't really say as I blame him too much for that, since they'll both be such crucial signings for that season. If truth be told, I'd say he's simply quite reluctant to admit as much.
