We need secondary. The DL is young and will only get better with experience and the addition of Tapper, I also think Jaylon will transition to coming off the edge until his drop foot gets better, IF it gets better. Secondary should be the main concern IMO. That being said, no need to reach, if the better player available is a pass rusher, so be it.

In a recent article, S. Jones indicated that Cowboys #1 concern was pass rush. Getting turnovers was #1A

Pretty much obvious.

yes, now go draft at least 2 preferably 3 DEs and dont worry about the backfield.
preferably watt, willis and rivers - and use whatever draft resources to get it done.
may be 1 of those will be able to contribute as a rookie.

Wrong, and more than likely Jaylon will be just another 2nd round bust.

Unless the pass rusher is a DT I'd prefer to see us go CB or S at 28. You only have two ends on the field at a time and at some point they're going to have to get something out of these guys they've already invested in or cut bait.

Everyone wants a stud edge rusher. The question is at 28 is there going to be any passrusher better than what you can get in the secondary

There are some pretty intriguing DE options in the draft, but its a mix between 250 pound tweeners and left defensive ends. I see maybe 10 guys that could immediately help the Cowboys. Garrett obviously is the cream of the crop that has it all, but no chance the Cowboys land him. Taco, Barnett, Mckinely, Walker, and Willis are all guys that are interesting for different reasons. We'll see how the draft falls, but if the only players left of the top des were Walker and Willis I would try to make a play to trade back for them, then use the extra pick to trade up as needed for secondary talent....

Not sure I get this logic. You only have two DT's on the field at a time too, sometimes only 1 with the 3 DL packages Marinelli likes.

There's not a DE on the roster that can get speed rush consistently. Tapper runs a 4.5, but he doesn't look explosive off the edge.

1 is 1a, 1b is after that.
