How many would like to see him start and why? If any mod would like to turn this into a poll, I would appreciate it.

You are hired for a company that has been loseing money and need to turn it around, and make a good showing,
You only have a few weeks to do this. remember your job and your slaary depends on you and your progress.
Now you have some good guys with you, and you have some that just don't know they can help you or not,
But remember your 3 million salary and your JOB depends on just how you do,
Now, which ones are you going to go with, people that can help you get the job done, and your goals done or the ones that you really don't know can get the job done or not..
Your JOB and your Pay depends on you and the people you pick..
So what do you think you would do?
Just like Garrett, you want the best people to do their job, period..
That's what Garrett is doing..
So would you play a rookie that has only played in a preseason game against backup players....
Maybe NOT..you think..

Developing Dez Bryant has to be one of the focal points of the offense for the rest of the season.

A lot of posters claim he's the guy for the long-term. So why would he have anything to lose by developing new, or even rookie, players for the long-term future?
Because, according to some, he's got a bright future here.
Let me ask you this, wouldn't you think Garrett would gain a lot more by winning with McGee than Kitna, even if it was only a few games, which is the likely outcome no matter who you start.
It's not like Kitna is a HOF quarterback...and McGee, who came from a big program, deserves a shot... if he fails, people will understand. Even Romo couldn't succeed with this supporting case.
But, again, I have to ask you what is to lose? And why do you so urgently insist he must win or he will lose his pay when that may not even be the situation?
In other words, I reject your hypothetical question about Garrett because it has more to do with Garrett himself than trying to develop talent on a broken team for the benefit of the team as a whole.
Not to be cliche', but there is no "I" in "team".

Of course, with the game being against the Colts in Indianapolis, and his preseason propensity for hanging onto the ball way too long, he could set a record for most sacks taken by a QB in a game.
ABQcowboyJR;3689718 said:I think it is naive to think that Garret doesn't have to win to stick around. Jerry is about winning and putting a good product on the field. The best product will come with the best players on the field. And lets get real, he won't be winning a bunch of games with Mcgee on the field. Its simply too early to justify starting him.

Hey, we're talking about KITNA. He sucks.
Probably a moot point. The Giants will force the issue Sunday when they knock Kitna out of the game.

Kitna has already shown his days of playing QB for the NFL have passed him by. Letting McGee start now will let us know what we have going forward and if we still need to look for another back-up QB to replace Kitna next year.
