Of course not. Maybe Stephen is just blowing smoke here and they are quietly looking to see if there is an upgrade out there, but 25 years of being a Cowboys fan has educated me on the fact that you shouldn't expect the Jones family to make a bold, smart move.

They'll likely move on from McCarthy after a couple more years of flame outs. They are the family that needs to be hit in the face with a frying pan 6 times before they realize it doesn't feel good.

But the coach isn't a good coach. Like Garrett wasn't a good coach. You try to make this an either/or - Garrett and McCarthy are good coaches held back by Jerry. But it's not that way. Jerry's flaws as a GM and owner lead him to hire poor to average coaches.

Look at his track record here. He's horrible at hiring coaches whether it be HCs or assistants. Chan Gailey? Dave Campo? He hired Monte Kiffin who was well past his prime. He held onto Garrett for way too long (and the market is dictating that not many think too highly of him as a HC).

And at the end of the day, the reality is the owner isn't going anyway. So all we can hope for is that Jerry pulls the plug quickly on a mediocre coach and maybe gets lucky with the next one.

With that said, I always expected MM back. He did go 12-5, win the division, and make the playoffs. Despite what you think on how he went 12-5, the fact if he did do that, and that is a winning record. Plus, I think a 3 year window for a coach is fair. For me (and not that my opinion matters in the world of the Jones' family) he has next year to prove something or else he is out.

As for the OC, as much as I love Moore and have always been in his corner, I think it's time for a change. That at least should be done.
