Yep your right - it was the injuries and we are "All In" again. I hate the Jones's.The injury excuse card is gonna be played hard this offseason to explain away the horror of 2024.
This will be immediately followed by the “we are finally healthy so we will be competitive again!” card which will be played in tandem with the “we like our guys” and “we are up against the cap so can’t add FAs” cards.
Finally, JJ will drop the ultimate “we are hanging around the rim so we are gonna run it back” card and it will be an offseason to remember.
Cowboys!
The only problem with blaming the injuries is the Cowboys were actually worse this year when healthy than when injured. The injury excuse card is gonna be played hard this offseason to explain away the horror of 2024.

Cowboys!
They might have made the playoffs and be picking at 26 again instead of 11.Imagine what simply signing any of the excellent free agent RBs over the last two years would have done for this team.

you could have re-signed Hankins for 3 mil, he tried to stay hereJust TWO moves could have made a significant difference on the roster:
Henry at RB and a good DT to replace Hankins.
"Can we wrap this up already? I am late planning the stadium's next rodeo show."
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones when asked on @1053thefan about how the Eagles roster is constructed vs. how the Cowboys are constructed with all of their salary cap issues:
“I’ll say it again, it’s the world’s smallest violin, but unfortunately we have over 50 percent of our cap on (injured reserve). Those things, when they hit and hit at the wrong time, it makes for a challenge for a team. Obviously, San Francisco is another team that’s had their share of injuries this year in terms of a big percentage of their cap sitting on IR. Those are things that come with the territory."
"I know everybody has their different battles with the cap that hit at different times. Philly will have theirs coming up where they’ll have to make tough decisions. But, yeah, we’re constantly looking at ways to look at our salary cap to give us the best opportunity with players like Dak (Prescott), CeeDee (Lamb) and Micah (Parsons), and you throw (Trevon) Diggs in there, to let those guys hopefully, No. 1, stay on the field, but No. 2, give us the best opportunity to make a great run.”
I don't think the Eagles are the blueprint for Dallas in the next couple of years. The Eagles - The proven correct way.
The Cowboys - The proven wrong way.

Even the 49ers have torn it down and rebuilt itRams too.
He just doesn't get it.

That’s pretty much it.He gets it. He does not want to go up and down. He wants to hang out at the rim. He is happy with being a wild card team. He is happy going 1 and done and then acting surprised.
THAT is the biggest elephant in the room that alot of people seem to be ignoring. What was the record when those guys on the IR were mostly healthy?
They are even happy just being in the playoff hunt until week 15.That’s pretty much it.
Philly understands that they are going to have to pay the piper at some point, but are taking several legit shots now.
Isn’t Dallas sort of claiming a reset year now (without really admitting it) yet never took those real shots??
Don’t blame injuries. Last years team other than Diggs was as healthy as could be. Unbelievable.
