Stephen unsure about starting Lance this week

Two reasons for this.

1. They want Lance back for next season and don't want to expose him to anyone else so as to keep the contract offers low.

2. They have decided they have absolutely no plans to keep him and thus playing him would be pointless.

Those are the only reasons I can think up for not starting him. You aren't playing for anything except draft position so losing would be beneficial. Not that I would be upset if they won. I don't have it in me for that.

So MM brought him in for 1 stupid play yesterday? Why not just exhibit him in a public flogging if you want to ruin the chances of the kid catching on with a real football team? They have strung him along for how long, do they not at least owe him this? I don't care if Trey is the next stud or the next bust, you give him a chance to find a team that will actually put an effort into his development. I hate the Jones' so much

Not playing him already is an admital that it was a dumb trade.
Pretty much the way I see it. They got burned and they don't want it to be public knowledge how much so. They should just cut bait like SF did and move on.
No, it just means the are idiots. The trade was good at the time. Hindsight, not so much.
