Pretty much the way I see it. They got burned and they don't want it to be public knowledge how much so. They should just cut bait like SF did and move on.Not playing him already is an admital that it was a dumb trade.
Maybe if they run the option, Lance could start.Pretty much the way I see it. They got burned and they don't want it to be public knowledge how much so. They should just cut bait like SF did and move on.

No, it just means the are idiots. The trade was good at the time. Hindsight, not so much.Pretty much the way I see it. They got burned and they don't want it to be public knowledge how much so. They should just cut bait like SF did and move on.
Yes you are correctTwo reasons for this.
1. They want Lance back for next season and don't want to expose him to anyone else so as to keep the contract offers low.
2. They have decided they have absolutely no plans to keep him and thus playing him would be pointless.
Those are the only reasons I can think up for not starting him. You aren't playing for anything except draft position so losing would be beneficial. Not that I would be upset if they won. I don't have it in me for that.
Scoring 10 points and giving up 35 will be strong for them.We want to finish strong...after the Philly nutcracker? Bwahahahahah!
There's a very real chance we have three franchise QBs on the roster.Dear gawd, what a shambles. Then again I bet Jerry is going to double down and pay him to be our QB2 in 2025.
Does Dak hold out if Jerry makes Rush the highest paid ever? There's a very real chance we have three franchise QBs on the roster.
Brick Johnson bristles at these comments. The son of the owner answering this question is emblematic of everything wrong with this organization. Who cares what he thinks?
