Since when would it be his decision and not the HC?
exactly. Stephens answer should be "That decision is Coach McCarthy's". With these 2 clowns around we will never hire a real coach and let him run his team. This is exactly why Deion Sanders wouldn't coach the Cowboys under Jerry Jones and lets be honest Bill Belichick was never coming here under with Jerry and Stephen trying to run the team like they are the coach.

I can’t wait to see Rush and Lance resigned to their current positions for 2025, this is probably their grand plan :lmao:

Sometimes, I have to stop & think about just how utterly absurd it is that not just one, but TWO members of the Jones family now issue weekly public statements as to who will or will not take the field on a given Sunday. McCarthy…who should be solely responsible for such decisions…has been utterly neutered. I hope he gets out of Dallas for his own sake & sanity.

For all we know, Stephen Jones called that ill-advised 3rd & 1 bomb to Mingo yesterday.

The trade did make sense. Is it his or the fans fault the FO is stupid. As soon as Dak went down, he should have gotten playing time. Then they would know or possibly know more by now.
Guy had like 10 minutes and their done. Darnold took how many games to become what he has?? Jerry and his wonderless son didn't even give the guy a chance. Yet they hang on to dish arm Cooper for years......Makes NO sense. But what does in Dallas????

Pretty much the way I see it. They got burned and they don't want it to be public knowledge how much so. They should just cut bait like SF did and move on.
If he's as bad as they say, what difference would it make? Hiding him, playing him...would showcase failure.
I think playing him would be better. Could always at least partially blame refs, rotten running, poor run game. :)

Hiding him it's obvious. That's how dumb Jerry is. As bad as a cut.

They want to finish strong and blow their chance for pick 11. Lol. I don't see how it makes any difference on finishing strong to have Rush in there instead of Lance. We already know what Rush can do. It makes sense to give Lance a little experience. One game isn't going to affect his value very much.
It will still be zero.

Any answer to that question that doesnt involve Mike McCarthy making that decision is a wrong answer...
But to their defense (in this case anyway) McCarthy doesn‘t have an extension so what does he care what Trey looks like. There isn’t a guarantee McCarthy will apart of any potential future with Lance.

I think you can extrapolate that he hasn't gotten playing time because he has not been good in his preseason play in Dallas, and I would wager that he hasn't been much better in practice. With McCarthy coaching for his job, if Lance gave him a better chance to keep his job (by winning games and performing well), he would have played. Acquiring Lance was a bad move because his biggest deficiency was a lack of game time, and he wasn't going to get it in Dallas. And, the fact that he hasn't gotten any burn going into Week 18 of a train wreck season should speak volumes.
It was not up to MM.Jerry was not allowing it. According to many on here.

We have no idea about how he performs in practice. Fans assume things because it is what the want to believe.

As you are in this case by saying that this was only a bad trade in hindsight.

A 4th round pick for a QB. They said, if we could believe them. They wanted to look for a QB around the 4th round anyway. But it did not fall their way. So to take a flyer on a former 1st round pick that did not have a lot of playing time. Yes it was a good trade.

As I said HINDSIGHT since they refused to give him a chance, yes it looks bad.
Can you understand that?
And again, you are dead wrong. Trey was a bust if you ever saw him play. You can pick up on little things in a QB’s game IF you know what you’re looking for. I don’t have to ask why you don’t understand. It’s glaring. The Niners missed big time on him and was looking for at least some compensation. The idiots gave away a 4th round pick. Man I wish I could put you on ignore. You just don’t have a clue!
