Stephen: We absolutely believe in Brian Schottenheimer

The bye follows the Seahawks game. I have maintained for many years Jerry Jones will not fire a head coach in-season unless his head coach has completely lost the roster. Brian Schottenheimer may be barely holding the team together, but it is still functional.

Wade Phillips lost his roster by early November. Not having his starting quarterback helped derail those players even more. If things continue to track as it has, I can *see* Schottenheimer getting the axe before the end of next month IF he loses Dak Prescott along with everyone else. He will not step into the month of December should he lose his starting quarterback's support.

I completely agree. I also think Schotty barely has the locker room as you stated. I think Dak confronting the fan in the tunnel is showing some cracks in the armor. I think we’re kind of on that verge right now and if we lose in Philly next week then the wheels can come flying off. Another struggling team beating us on national TV may be the death blow. Schotty is way over his head.

Just words. Schottenheimer will not be the HC of this team next year. First, they are not going to start winning games again because Schottenheimer is going to suddenly become a good coach. Secondly, I think Jerry is already hugely disappointed in his team especially after he made the uncharacteristic trades and acquisitions for the defense. He knows his players are better than the way they are playing. He may be a bad GM but he is not blind.

Of course they think it’s all fine. They never have a clue as to what they are looking at and are usually wrong with the guess.

Tomorrow, Jerry will get on the radio and talk about all the “good things” he saw.

Always has to defend the job he is doing and consequently reward bad play. It’s been going on forever, and the message it sends to the players is….’well if the boss, and the guy who is gonna give me my contract, is happy, well then no real reason to try to get better.’

That’s the deep, deep stench that might take a decade to get rid of after he is silenced.
