Sterling Moore Cut!

Lets see. CB position where 3 guys get on the field for a significant about of time.....might be able to squeeze a 5th CB on the roster.

Safety.....gonna have 2 of those at most on the field so we should probably carry 6 to be safe.

TE, have Witten and we know what we'll get from him. Just in case we should carry 4 additional TEs so we can run the 2TE set the way we want.

With 5 onlinemen and 4 defensive linemen starting, you'd think they'd want to overhaul those two areas and make that top priority. I don't see how a 5th TE can have priority over a trench player since it seems that we're losing players on the trenches with injuries.

I actually liked Sterling Moore as a bottom of the roster depth DB.

But I've long since given up on trying to make sense with our personnel decisions. When one of these comes along, I just imagine Jerry and Stephen giggling and spinning around in their chairs.

sounds like a typical cowboys plan to me,nothing unreasonable.

Based on this you would rather have Pellerin over Mile Jenkins.

Ill take actual ability over a try hard and not be very good any day.

The think is Sterling Moore isn't Mike Jenkins. Sterling Moore is a fringe roster player who has not shown up at all during preseason.

maybe so. but the staff thought he out played moore. remember moore has been in the league 3 years and has been cut twice, once by the patriots and once by us. i think he is a nice player but this would be his last cheap year as he hits his 4th yr and pellerin shows a bit more upside. time will tell if the staff is right or not but i don't see that big of a deal when it's the bottom of your depth chart going with the younger guy

Nah some old guy probably liked Pellerin cause he tried to stay on the field after constantly getting wrung up.

They forgot to factor in the football side of it.

Sounds like you need a new team to root for.

That's how I look at it. I'm willing to bet the vaunted "12" offense won't be used as much as the 3 WR sets.

Oh please.

These guys miss all the time. They don't know any more then anyone else who has followed this game closely.

We're relying on a group that signed 2 crappy guards last year whenever everyone knew they were crap and then watched them ignore the problem again.

So sorry if I don't bow down to the all knowing football guys for the Cowboys.

Oh please, yourself.. this group knows a hell of alot more than some whiny fans.

One of those "crappy" guards played well for us last year and was arguably our most consistent OL'man over the course of the entire season, but don't let that stop your little rant here.

I couldn't care less who you choose to bow down to.. just saying these guys know more than you. That's all. Carry on..

I doubt they know much, but they probably have heard of the term defensive back seven.

They clearly aren't the geniuses you make them out to be.

Most likely.

Suprised to find you in a thread about a DB, not whining more about how much crap we have on the OL and how Callahan isn't going to be able to get this group to play well at all this year because all he has is garbage to work with.

I don't think i ever said they were geniuses.. just said they are smarter about evaluating football players than you.

If you don't see a difference in those two statements, that might be part of the problem.

As it is, under JG so far, i don't think talent aquisition has been the problem.

What i want to know is, when are ALL the cuts going to be announced? Im sick of this one at a time bs.. its 5:30..let's hear the list already.

Ok well if they don't have any plans to add another CB and one of our top 3 gets hurt we'll see who is right and who is wrong.

Our 5th TE will be a lot of help to us I'm sure.

They aren't. I'll take Catch running my team over our GM and the VP of Personnel. They are mere fans too and they've shown they don't know what they're doing.

Garrett coaches the talent. Those two acquire it. I think there are a few dozen posters on these boards I'd hand the keys to the franchise to over what we have now.

You can make that kind of statement with people who earned their positions and performed to keep it. Not bought it and held it hostage.

Sounds good though.

The Dallas Cowboys have released defensive end-outside linebacker Thaddeus Gibson, according to a league source.
