What compels someone to shoot someone and then shoot themselves. Especially when it's your loved one...

You see guys who wipe out their entire families due to the shame of a job loss, legal/financial troubles, or in revenge for the wife leaving him. Some lawyer from NY killed his family in a Baltimore hotel room a few months ago because his ponzi scheme was unraveling and jail was on the horizon. Kinda rare for a woman to initiate a murder-suicide, though.
