What the hell. Who would want to kill Steve McNair? he seemed like such a good, respectable guy. I dont get it.

He's well-known. I'm guessing that's all it took in this case.

Just to give some perspective on the location. It's about 5 blocks south of the Sommet Center and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Close to the river. Not a great neighborhood. Looks like a block away from an area that is currently under development.

Sounds like he was caught messing around where he shouldn't have been. Either his wife or the woman's boyfriend/husband is likely to be the perp.

wow! just wow!

I heard talk that he was shot and killed. Had to log in here on my cell to see if it was true. Shocking news.

what a senseless tragedy- no matter the circumstance ... And only 36. Just wow!

New 4 just said that McNair owned the condo he was killed in. Also said they have not removed the bodies yet. This seems a bit strange as it has been nearly 4 hours since the police got there.

That might change things a bit. Maybe he was visiting a tenant or something. Definitely something strange about this whole thing though.

Yeah, it's getting more strange as it goes by. The cops said it will take "Hours" to process the crime scene.

I'm incredibly saddened by this news. Steve was one of my all time favorite non-Cowboys. Seemed like one of the real good guys who never forgot where he came from as well.

nothing strange at all, if they're dead at the scene, the bodies aren't removed until all evidence at the scene is collected. As it stands right now, both are ruled a homicide...

Not to sound like a punk but I have a hard time trusting homicidal news from a person who can't spell "scene".

I read on another site that his wife is out of town in Mississippi (it was Mort that said it on ESPN). So this could be one of three things. A fatal attraction, a mugging gone bad, or the husband/boyfriend shot them both. Very sad situation.

I hate to say it but that's the way it sounds to me. :(

I would imagine the big thing they are trying to gauge is where the bullets entered their bodies, just in case they need that as the investigation continues.

I hate to scold people, but I'd rather NOT BE LIKE BSPN and NOT SPECULATE until the facts come out. The very thing we scold BSPN for we shouldn't be doing ourselves. Why? Well among other things it gives BSPN the idea that jumping to conclusions and shoddy journalism will be accepted by its audience.

It's a message board. We're discussing possible reasons for his death. It's not like we're distributing information as fact on television as news.
