He’s right about the Niners chewing the clock.

They play dink and dunk football and move the chains.
However us having no chance….

He’s about to get the shock of his life.
He thought the same in 92.

Steve Young is the worst analyst in football and a reason he’s been on ESPN…

Can‘t stand him at all..

I just realised how much I HATE the 49ers. I've been a fan since 1963 Cotton Bowl Don Meredith era so I've seen it all and SFO brings back some of the absolute worst memories since then. We better kick their rear ends from here to Neptune!!

I understand his take but I think, based on the summary, that he’s a little full of it. No matter. Their goal is to get on top of us and beat us up rest of game. However, we have a goal too. There’s a decent chance we get to their QB and bust a few ribs before they can get any semblance of control over us.

If that happens, our confidence and their panic both grow. I would like our chances in this scenario.
Fixed it. I am so pshyco about this game!!!! SFO sucks!! We're gonna hit em in the moth. They're gonna bleed and they'll wipe it off. Then wew're gonna hit em again and they'll bleed again,. Then we'll hit em in the throat! They'll cry and run off the field and ask for a sub. And we'll make him bleed. - Brookings the Great :) no one could pregame better. He was as close to Bill Bates as we've ever got since IMO.

I never listen to certain analyst and Steve Young is one of them. He is awful.
He is a SF homer and a Dallas hater. And he is obvious about it.
Yes I have heard him before and can’t stand him, so now tune him out.

At least Michael Irvin is fair in his homerism and did say some very good thongs about SF, and that it will be a very tough match up.

Every analysis including Young’s is some variation of “that was Tampa, this is SF”. Well, we also aren’t Seattle.

I’m not under any illusions about the 49ers. They are really good. However, we have seen Dak get hit in the mouth and whether or not he has success or not afterwards, he fights. The 49ers haven’t seen the QB get hit in the mouth and I contend, they may see a different QB when it happens to their guy. Only for them, it’s in an elimination game.

We have to pressure them early and with 4-5 rushers tops. Then, we’ll see!

Young is right about one thing. The Niners "hide" or "scheme" their offense. I've watched a few of their games and they run gadgets, misdirection, pick plays and throw 20 screen passes a game. Purdy throws 10 passes a game behind the line of scrimmage to his backs. I swear theres 25 members on this site who could QB their team, its that QB friendly. God forbid they ever had to line up and play straight up traditional football, they'd get stuffed.
A lot of eye-candy and misdirection but at the end of the day they are more like the Bucs in that they rely largely on RAC to do the damage. I think they have led the league the past few years in yards after the catch. They are different than the Bucs because they WILL run the ball. Purdy is surely not going to throw the ball 66 times.

I will say this. If Dallas can't rattle Purdy then it could devolve into a shoot-out, assuming both teams bring their A-game offense. 31 points probably won't be enough in that instance. Seattle was right there with them...until they weren't. It happened just that fast. Keep it close in the first half and then try like hell to hang on in the second. The Dallas defense will need to cover and tackle well...all...game...long.

paraphrasing summary:

- I thought I was watching 1995 cowboys 2010 Cowboys last night… By far the least innovative offense in the NFL, especially at least with the teams remaining in the playoffs.
They don’t do anything special or hide anything.

- Dak Prescott is a tremendous leader - it’s a shame the owner gets in his way. But you have to see him in the locker room. Talk about onions.

- Unless Dallas gets into the San Francisco’s secondary deep like Kansas City did they have no chance. San Fran is good for at least 30 to start and their front seven control the game.

- San Fran will chew time off the clock and slowly kill you .

- watching Brett Maher live was very painful

- The Eagles have lost their mojo… And if they get into a tight football game versus the Giants, they could very easily choke.
You can run on the Eagles.
Young got carried by a great SF team to the 1994 SB win.

Instead of being happy that he won it he still needs to diminish others to feel good.

What a wasted life.

"San Fran is good for at least 30 to start"

What does this mean? That SF can score 30 no prob?

If so....ya right lol
I'm also confused by that statement. Of course Young is going to be a little biased towards San Francisco, he played there. Just like Irvin with Dallas. I'm hoping with Purdy that a lot of his success is due to people not having film on him. I'm thinking Quinn can analyze the films and find a way to attack him. If not we'll be in a shoot out which I feel we can swing with them of Dak plays the way he did yesterday.

He’s telling you their offense is unstoppable and they have the #1 defense .

This just makes it perfect. This is the kind of talk the team needs to hear all week

Not this rat poison praise from people talking about the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl

It is the Garrett offense and it needs to GO. Hell the NYG's were smart enough to figure that out, why isn't Jerry?

I have to agree here. Some fans and content creators seem far too giddy over beating a bad playoff team...and far too giddy over Prescott's play, which was phenomenal I must admit. However, I need to see him do it two or three more times. A real test comes this weekend. Bring out the haters, doomsayers, naysayers and pompous prognosticators. Give 'em all a microphone and a bullhorn.

The 1995 Cowboys went on to win the SB, so I'm cool with that.

He's being PC. You should go find a 49ers message board and go read it. They feel they've already won and are heading or hosting the NFC championship game.
They give zero chance at winning on Sunday.
I looked. They largely think we will be an easy win. We are getting 0 respect.
