Steven Jackson instead of JJ?

Julius has every bit the vision or moreso than Barber. Julius is trying to run where BP wants him to and is still trying to adjust to it. Barber on the other hand is still bouncing things outside which is in conflict with what BP wants.(BP has said so)

I have began to wonder about JJ and his vision the last several games he has had chances to do something at the second level but is letting a safety or Lb bring him down in space.

I don't know if he is getting worn down or not but even if he is i have to wonder about him being an elite back because he is definitley leaving some yardage on the feild.

RB to RB, I'd take SJ. He's the better RB IMO.

But I'd rather have JuJo, Spears, and MBIII, then just SJ. :D

DITO!!! If we had Jackson we might not have MBIII. Too many dreadlocks!

I remember it as being pot.

But I was stoned at the time.
That was his second offense. His third one was drugs as well I believe.

thinking more about the Antonio Bryant trade for Larry Johnson that was rumored to be a possibility way back when...............

Add LJ to this mix...........heck, Bledsoe might still be starting qB............:banghead:

And there was an absolute ton, and I mean ton of people on this board screaming about giving up AB for a "penn state bust" of a RB. The archives are hilarious on this issure.

If you guys will remember, Stephen Jackson was one of the guys we passed up and took Julius Jones instead. Actually, instead of getting Steven in the first round, we traded the Bill for their 2nd round pick that year (which snagged Julius), and their first round pick the next year (which got us Marcus Spears).

I think when you add Marcus Spears to JJ, that's a better deal than just Steven Jackson. However, if you were just comparing the two running backs, would you rather have Julius Jones or Steven Jackson?
No, I like Julius better. He's ours.

Guess we will have to agree to disagree on that one, watching the games a second time you can see Julius just doesnt see the cut back lanes nearly as well as Barber does in my opinion. Barber lacks the burst to break the long ones but he does a better job of letting the hole develop and running to daylight. Im no expert but any stretch but that what it looks like to me.

As far as just RB vs. RB, I'll take Jackson, but since we did get the extra pick, I won't complain.

Because the pick we traded Buffalo gave them JP Losman and enabled them to cut Bledsoe. It is a tapestry that has led to a Cowboy revival. Good runner, good run-stopper, veteran quarterback to further show the ropes to a young gun.

Good Point-- we are in good shape as a result of that trade. However, I do believe JJ has a vision problem. He has the opportunity to make a few big plays, but he fail to see the cut back lanes. The lanes are there.

Good ole Kevin Jones.....

JJ is doing exactly what BP wants him to do. Which I think is a shame. He was better in 2004 then he is now. He had great vision then- I doubt he has lost the vision- he is just running the way BP has coached him to over the last 2 years.

I think yall know how I felt about Henson and how I feel about Jones. Barber only gets chances b/c Jones is not it.

But I tell you one thing I admire his commitment to "TEAM" if that is truly how he feels. B/C If I was Jones I would be po'd that I ran us all the way tothe red zone and MB3 gets the glory.

To answer the question, Jackson is better. I will also say let me see MB3 start a few times. He really is that good. But neither are great! Niether are LJ, LT, SA, SJ or and I really really really really hate to say this Portis.
